Boosting posts on Facebook

Anyone had any success with this? I often see Sponsored Ads from betting / tipster sites but I tried to boost a horse racing news post with no direct connection to betting (ie was not a betting offer / free bet or anything) and they approved it and then later disapproved and then disabled my account.

So now I can no longer Boost anything on FB. I know they are strict but what gives?
Maybe it's because they could see I was an affiliate and so just don't want to know.

Interested to hear other people's experiences and views on FB advertising. Guess I will give Twitter a try seeing my dirty money is not wanted by FB

It appears Facebook recently updated their policies. They take longer to approve adverts and some public posts. Their updated policy makes them stricter when it comes to content that promotes betting and gambling (and they are not the only ones e.g WordPress.com)

Maybe get in touch with their support to find out how you can promote your content/business without breaking their user policy.

Well, we tried FB ads in the past, and same situation, AD approved, some phantom likes, zero like>user conversion, and some day our account get locked.

My opinion, it is not the best site to promote gambling, Twitter it's kind a different, we pay no ads, just posting and conversion is decent.

We had to be approved by facebook before we can run gambling related ads, we have had no problems since.

I regularly boost gambling posts on Facebook with no issues and I don't have an approved page, although I have a feeling that at some point they will find a reason to ban me, just a matter of time.

Having said that I did have one gambling page banned by the Facebook police which I appealed against and they reinstated it within 48 hours.

Facebook just came down on me like a ton of bricks right now, just short of banning me they're giving me ---- for posting casino related links
not sure if it's worth playing it dumb with the whole 'I just do reviews' shpiel, I can't imagine them being that stupid because I've got aff links plastered all over.
Will see in time how this plays out, so far touch wood.. my page is still alive.

Although Facebook have quite strict ad policies when it comes to gambling, it definitely is possible! With a few tweaks, your ad can be successful.

You definitely will need to make sure you have a clear understanding of the guidelines and fill all the steps in correctly- they also have a section where you can contact their support team and get advice before applying.

I have made some boosted post, facebook approved it really fast. But i dont recommend, it is not the best way to market, i have stopped. Try adwords instead.

You need to study the policies but yes, it' possible to boost posts in connection with gambling. I suggest to run every ad for 24+ people.

I've boosted posts on Facebook too but didn't see any conversion after several tries Using IG/twitter more now
