I have read a bit that Islam in general does not accept gambling. On the other hand, I don't know how it is in reality. Islam has many factions and probably also people have different approaches to the subject and some bet on others do not.

Some players, especially from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia belong to syndicates in Asia. So they place huge bets on sports.

I've always been curious about the Arab markets, it's the most "exotic" market for me, which I find hard to understand. And on GPWA it's hard to find opinions about this market. Maybe it is a vein of gold? Maybe a dead topic?

Don't think any religion says "Gambling! We Love it", be that Islam, Christianity or any other.

As xecutable has said, no religion is actively supporting gambling and encouraging it.

To say that no religion allows gambling is incorrect. The religions of ancient Greece and Rome, or at least some of the gods, did not mind, and sometimes supported gambling

It's actually quite an interesting question. It's all well and good to say people of certain religions don't gamble because they're not supposed to, but in reality people do all kinds of stuff they're not supposed to.

So if someone is already doing something they're not supposed to, do they continue doing that thing during ramadan or is that worse?
