Can someone help me with fixing my home page for SEO

I hired some fool from freelancer.com to do some work on our site to improve our home page for SEO and rankings, and so far i have had 4 complaints come back to me that they are spamming forums with our URL.

Could i get some advice and help with our SEO as i cant see what they have done on our home page. I can pay someone so money is not an issue. PM me if you are able to help urgently.

I could help you to tighten things up a bit, but a lot of the stuff there you could probably do yourself.

I don't know if it would really matter Jamie. To be honest, I'd simply avoid hiring freelancers in countries like India unless they had a proper business behind them and would be able to support the services they promise to deliver with testimonials from other companies.

Cheap (eg: not in the £k's) SEO will almost certainly come down to spammy trash links, unreadable articles and then plenty of spinning. You really should be planning your SEO strategy yourself and if you want to use these kind of guys make sure it is for a highly specific tasks that you have control over (eg: submitting your site to a predefined set of social bookmarking sites or submitting approved articles to agreed articles sites etc...).
