    Default Can't get Signups

I have had a new casino website for a few weeks now and so far only one person has downloaded the software and played for fun-me!
I have advertised the site on craigslists in many cities and on all the gambling newsgroups plus paid www.americaint.com for 50,000 visitors and www.protraffic.net for 10,000 visitors.I don't want to pay for more if none are signing up and paying.
What else can I do through free or paid advertising to get players to download and play for money?Any offline newspapers or magazines that accept online casino advertising?

hi gamblerrr, all i can say is that after a few weeks, you really can't expect much. I have been reading and trying since january and just starting to see some traffic. Slow and steady wins the race they tell me. Good Luck.

The best thing to do is optimize for search engine and get lots of quality links pointing to your site. Purchasing traffic is usually a waste of money.

I've never had any luck with buying hits.

Best to optimise your sites and keep updating your sites with new content. It took me about 2 years before I made any real money.

It's not an easy business to get into. Slow and steady seems to pay off eventually but it's a lot of work and effort.

I don't think anyone will get rich quick. Enjoy what you do and initially take any money made as a bonus.

Thanks all for the tips.I knew it would take time and work to get traffic and customers.
I will lay off on paying companies for hits and start exchanging lnks.
I just have to learn how to download my website and use editor software like Frontpage to add links to my links page then upload it to the server again using the control panel codes.
Am also looking at alternative newspapers that may accept online casino ads.I picked up copies of poker and gambling magazines and the full page ads by companies like hollywoodcasino, etc.,must cost them a fortune to place.

    First things first.

You gotta learn HTML and learn how to use an FTP program.

Ditto on purchased traffic - pure waste of getting players (although it might help in "branding" your name - but unknown).

Search Engine Optimization is the key as others here have pointed out - AND - patience. This is not a get rich quick proposition.

It takes time, hard work, research - if you don't love doing this for the sake of doing it; it might prove painful. LOL

    Best,

    Default Another ditto

    Also ditto on buying traffic.

I bought 10K sportsbook targetet hits, got 3 conversions. Two converted in CPA campaigns for $200 and one converted in rev share. I was lucky in that the rev share was a whale. He wagered $5K over a few days and lost it all, giving me $1K. (Unfortunately he stopped wagering at that sportsbook) So the $80 I spent on the 10K hits turned into $1200. I realized that 3 conversions out of 10K was so insignificant that it could have easily been 0 conversions.

But I'm new to this also, so I figured I'd reinvest some of the profit into more traffic and see what happens. I bought 2 more 10K hit campains from the same guy and 20K hits from another guy. Out of 40K hits only got a handful of click-throughs (under 100) and 0 conversions.

Fresh unique content added daily, in addition to good quality internal linking + working on building your external inbound links + lots of time and patience.

There are no get rich quick traffic schemes. The only decent PPC costs a lot of money.

Treat your site(s) as a hobby and not as a business. After a couple of years if you follow the above, you should start to rank highly in the search engines naturally.

Just keep going at it. I have been going now just over a year and only just in the last couple of months have I seen any real income, but I didn't expect to in the first twelve months anyway.

Asking for advice here is good, because these people here really do know the right way.

Just stay with it and don't get too down, but do allow yourself time to get established and SEO.
