Default Chatgpt references counted in Google algorithms?

Just found the chatgpt.com site in the hits section of AwStats for our site and I was wondering whether the references provided by chatgpt as links when responding to the users’ queries are counted by Google algorithms. Is a response page saved as such on the chatgpt site and perhaps indexed by Google?

ChatGPT responses don’t create static pages with unique URLs (like ithy .com does, for example) that could be indexed by Google. The links it provides are visible only within your private chat session and they definitely don’t count as traditional SEO backlinks.
    At least not yet.
But things could change in the future. I think so It’s entirely possible that Google might start incorporating ChatGPT data into its algorithms down the line. For now I haven’t seen any real SEO benefit. In this particular case ChatGPT simply acts as a referrer and can drive direct traffic.
Still, I believe ChatGPT has huge potential and opens up opportunities to grow a website’s audience.
