    Default Christmas is coming

Eight days off... So what are you all doing for the holidays? I will be spending it here at home with the kids coming in to see us. May have some family in for a visit from other parts of the state.

I always put a shrimp dinner and snack together for Christmas eve and my wife and I spend some quality time together. We relax by the fire then maybe crank up the karaoke machine and sing Christmas songs (I do a great and powerful "Oh Holy Night" performance). She is in charge of the Christmas meal while I play with my new toys. I also obstain from going online at all (so painful).

This year is very special as it is the first time in 31 years I am not retailing. Really looking forward to it. Thanksgiving was awsome as I did not have to dread "black Friday", I think Christmas this year is going to be the best ever!

    Hi Chips!

This is a special Christmas for me and hubby of two years. Usually we travel to my parents, but this year will be our first family holiday in our new home (2006) together.

We got our first live tree put up right after Thanksgiving and I'm going to cook my first Christmas dinner from scratch all by myself. Hubby is the cook, but I want to make all of the traditional soul food dishes as well as cookies and a cake so I'm both excited and nervous!

I hope that you and your family enjoy a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

BTW I have dreamweaver questions for you when you get time please. I'm at the final (set up database) step and then I'll be nearly done.

Gonna be spending my Christmas at home with the kids as mrspomp is in hospital having a major operation.
Will obviously make the best of it for the childrens sake but it wont be the same without the enemy stressing.
Hope you all have a great one and an awesome New Year.

Sounds like a great Christmas to me!

I have a European background and as most other euros have a huge family, so usually we spend the day at someones house in the backyard with a BBQ and a whole heap of wog food.. then sit around with the top button on the pants undone.. One year I ate so much I was sick :P

This year I'm going to be toning it down though.. lots has happened for me in the last year and considering all that I think I'd like to spend this Christmas by myself... it gets tiring trying to tell uncles and aunties why I'm single and why i'm not married yet.. I think ill be spending the day catching up on work.. best day for it since there are no distractions.

Chips not sure how you can go a day without the internet - i'm still waiting for the day when I will be able to plug myself into the matrix..

In saying all that, the day after Xmas I plan to head up to the Gold Coast for 4 days for a short holiday.. Will most likely catch up with a couple people from the industry while I'm there and get a better tan than the one I already have (if I can get any more tanned :P) and then the day after I get back from the Gold Coast I'm flying down to Melbourne for New Year's and plan to hang out with some guys from the industry while I'm down there too.. so I think with all that travelling, having a quiet xmas is going to be the best thing I did..

Although, some karaoke sounds like a pretty good idea..

Sing Star for playstation 2 has now been added to my wish list this year...
I just hope someones listening :P

pompeyrayuk - Sad that your Mrs will be in the hospital - wish her a speedy recovery... love your sense of humour BTW (wont be the same without the "enemy" stressing)

Gam - I saw a real tree on Tues night for the first time... it smelt soooo good.. If only my oldies would let me put one up in our house

We're having the big feast at our house, as usual. All the kids , grandkids and even my brother from Taiwan will be here and it's going to be a loud, busy, fun and VERY tiring day for all.

Hey Pompeyrayuk same here with a little luck I may have Christmas at home, my wife has an appointment at the Hospital Monday if they won’t keep her we’ll be at home if they do, we are going to have Christmas at the Hospital, we don’t have any other family members, so anywhere my wife goes I’ll go too.
    <O</O
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a great New Year.
