    Default Christmas present?

Hi! Christmas is coming up! I frequently get questions like: What do you wish for christmas?

I was thinking about it for a while. I would like to have something to read about, affiliate marketing, casino-affiliate or perhaps some book about wordpress or linkbuilding. Do anyone know any texts or books that is good to buy with the casino affiliate marketing theme or mentioned subjects? Perhaps there is something on the internet or some "must read" stuff you know about?

I don't know of any written books that exist about link building etc, but there will be marketing books?

I like a good entrepreneur or start up book. Loads of them on Amazon. Currently reading the lean start up which gets good reviews.

What about something like "The 4 hour Work Week" by Timothy Ferriss?
I've read parts of that book and it's pretty good. Seems fitting for someone with their own business.

When people not even can stop talking about money and marketing during of for Christmas, then this is another proof, that there is something wrong with this industry!

I just want it to pass.

Regarding presents, I already got everything. So I've recently decided to start giving a portion of my income to charity. Now I feel I should have done that years ago.

Maybe he wants to stay sane? Let's be honest: Christmas is an annoying time, where everyone is in stress, people are even bigger consuming lunatics than normally. Something that maybe should bring people together is just dividing them. And the best part is that if you do not celebrate, you are the negative person and outcast. The spectacles are even more amazing considering how nearly all families fall apart, but yeah, let's pretend we are now all happy.

I stopped to celebrate this 20 years ago. Usually I go to mountains for a week, until all people on 27th move to mountains to "celebrate" New Years Eve. In the mountains I feel something holy. Not in the supermarket. Greetings from sunny Patagonia from another negative person.

I wasn't actually referring to Christmas or holidays in particular, I was referring to his comment about being a "dark negative person" in general.
He was the one that said it, not me, so was just wondering what made him have such a skeptical outlook on life, but I am now assuming he has the same general attitude to life as you, so all to their own I guess.

But I do agree that Christmas can be over rated for want of a better word.

Yeah, he was probably not serious. It is a preventive step against the classic accusation, which is always like: "You do not celebrate Christmas? You must be a negative person." Christmas is just an oppressive social norm that has to be fulfilled for most people. For example my mother is calling me from Europe already for one month, how horrible it will be, how she will be terrorized by her mother, to clean everything, to bake Christmas cakes that will be eaten by nobody during nights etc. Another one: my employee just returned from some Christmas markets where he was forced to go by his parents. He would like to work, but has no power to resist. Another employee hates Christmas so much that he keeps playing this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdBwC-HHPyA (it is in Czech, but maybe you get the point). My ex-mother-in-law was doing a nice Christmas with her husband, who helped her really nicely. I even made an exception and joined it once. Until I realized he does not give a s***, he was just paying off his guilt, because he was f**king other women all the time (even in my apartment when I was not there lol) and he wanted to have calm home. I just hear stories like that from all sides. And I remember the pressure 20 years ago when I told everyone to fo, I go to mountains. It was worse than 30 years ago, when I said the same and stopped eating meat.

All to their own. Mountains are the best.

I guess when you put it like that, I can understand why many people would choose not to like nor partake in Christmas!
I do admit that part of me is very often relieved when it is over as I can then sit back and relax, but as a mom with 3 kids, ( albeit all grown up now ) It was worth all the stress to see the pleasure on their faces when they woke up on Christmas morning.

Over the years I also learnt to wheedle out all the relatives that added to the stress!

Good on you for stopping meat though. As an avid animal lover, the more people that stop meat the better in my book.

I don't celebrate Christmas either - but it breaks the monotony - and I appreciate the fact that the general populace go on holiday

It is very annoying. Yesterday I thought I saw a police on highway and started to break in a curve but it was just a Christmas tree

Anyways, according to this https://www.gpwa.org/forum/tipico-no...227043/p2.html, I see I should have wished that by the end of 2019 there are still some affiliate programs that do not steal my players.

My Christmas is usually pretty quiet. I don't have a big family, never have, I don't buy into the advertising and fake crap on the TV of a table full of happy family pulling crackers and back slapping each other about how perfect their lives are. It's fake. With the rise of Social media, it became ANOTHER chance to show off and to project images of fake perfection to a watching audience.
