Climate always changes. During the Glacial Period it was way colder and a bigger part of Earth was covered with ice than now. And during Cretaceous oceans had a temperature of over 40 degrees Celsius.
DanHorvat (23 April 2019)
From what I can tell, the world's weather patterns have been significantly changing over the last few years. When you see ice melting in Antarctica at alarming rates and islands disappearing into the ocean with more to follow, it tells you something about where this world is headed.

I studied the question some time ago, and ended up with more questions than answers. From one hand, the NatGeo polar bear was a scam and they retracted their claims to the connection with climate change. From the other hand, the level of CO2 is rising. Again, this is not unprecedented, and life was ok with higher density of CO2.
From what I see, it doesn't seem like we can reverse climate change with cutting down on greenhouse gases production.
DanHorvat (23 April 2019)
the greenhouse effect / global dimming / civilization is a heat engine no matter how you power it.
its not about local weather its about the rate of temperature change that animals plants insects bacteria and fungi have a hard time to keep up with / adapt which leads to loss of habitat.
We consider ourselves not being animals but once species we depend upon go extinct (gone forever not coming back) the human animals will go extinct too.
Question is not if but when, some scientists claim before 2030 because of exponential temperature change (the rate is important).
Once civilization falls who is going to take care of the 450+ nuclear power plants?
200 species go extinct each day a.o. 75% loss of insects in roughly 25 years. The last white Rhino died in 2017.

Again this is what I have found, I am not going to tell you if climate change is real do you own research but I was a skeptic for a long time but the evidence is right in your face : more flooding / droughts.

Solution by Harvard just block the Sun and blue skies.
inject sulphur dioxide into the air.
they have already started with this.
IF climate change / global warming was not a problem why the geoengineering, a last attempt ?Code:https://www.businessinsider.nl/geoengineering-how-to-reverse-climate-change-2019-4/?international=true&r=US
Good we can all freeze to death lol, they predicted that in the 80's. Also predicted we would all be dead within 12 years over 12 years ago from warming, now its 14 years out is it? simple scam for cash and control, just like the 80's
If you want to cool off then bring back the 80's hair spray, lot cheaper than 20 trillion dollars they want to do what I still don't know
How many predictions have to be laugfable until people stop fearing the joke of climate change?

Climate change exists and will continue. Typed many other comments then deleted them for political correctness. LOL
I think we are seeting more dramatic weather patterns now more than ever - and Climate change is actucally becoming a real thing and creating major natural desasters accross the world like floods and droubts - even storms and cyclones are causing huge devistation. I just hope our governments start really helping people that are effected.

I'm going to say it like it is in this post. If you're an easily offended climate change denialist I advise you not to read further.
Asking randoms on the internet for opinions on climate change is about as worthwhile as asking randoms on the internet for their opinion on how to conduct brain surgery. If you aren't a climate scientist who has made a career out of studying this stuff then your opinion is worthless and should be treated as such. I include myself in that. I have neither the qualifications nor the expertise to refute the mountains of evidence, therefore I defer to the professionals with the knowledge and expertise to make that call. And what they have been telling us for decades is unequivocal.
I suggest that before listening to ignorant opinions from the unqualified, people should acquaint themselves with some facts:
https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/
https://climatechange.environment.ns...climate-change
https://royalsociety.org/topics-poli...limate-change/
https://www.skepticalscience.com/evi...al-warming.htm
It is heartbreaking to still be seeing the same old ignorant responses in this thread. At this point if you don't think human-induced climate change is real then I wonder how you have the mental capacity to function as an adult. If you think "the climate always changes" while ignoring the rapidity with which it is changing into a state that will be very uncomfortable for human habitation then frankly you're a moron. If you find that offensive, I don't care, too bad. I find the denialist attitude far more offensive, frustrating, and frankly dangerous. We're at the point now where we need to take drastic action and instead of trying to convince idiots who will never agree, we just need to move on without them. Our children and their children and so on are going to have to deal with this mess for generations, yet we've had decades of inaction spurred by an organised campaign of doubt and denial. FFS I was learning about this in high school in the 1980s and still we've done effectively the square root of f-all to address the issue.
/end rant

How many climate sceptics does it take not to change a lightbulb?
Approximately 100. One to say that the current absence of light is the result of natural solar cycles and the other 99 to disseminate this finding through their 'science organisations' and oil industry funded think tanks.![]()

People are also stupid who doesn't believe that casinos make you rich. I am telling people that statement for years, still a lot of ignorant people call me a fraud. Dumb fraud-callers, i already learned that casinos make you rich when i was in high school in the 90's.

This is not "funny"This “biological annihilation” underlines the seriousness for humanity of Earth’s ongoing sixth mass extinction event
You think human animals are special? We have been here for approximately 200.000 yrs
Thanks for the responses folks. I didn't ask due to being unsure about climate change myself. I was just interested to know the consensus on it within this community.
Myself and a few colleagues are launching a new charity with the aim of driving money from big business and thier consumers towards the specific areas of the climate change issue (its very much a multifaceted issue).
Goverment targets around the world tend to be a decade or 2+ too late. The economic cost of earlier targets are very high and at this point, this is what it has all come to. Money.
We believe we can raise the amount of cash required to plug this deficit. One issue at a time
The hope is that we will do 2 things.
1. Help fix one little peice of the jigsaw (i mean, theres only 5 of us). If we can do more than that, we will.
2. Inspire others to take action also. To do something similar or thier own thing. But moat importantly to do something and to recognise that putting your coke can in the correct bin is not you doing your bit.
We dont want to try and convince any skeptics or educate anyone. We simply want to take action now with the people who understand why its important.
We have young children. We want to see a future where we can look forward to grandchildren, not one where the best decision is for our kids not to have children.
Finally, please fire me a PM if you think you could offer some help here. Even if its a few hours a week/month. The more minds involved the better. And ill reply with our main idea.
We need help with
Web site building
Social media management
Email list building
Business contact development
And most likely lots more.
Also its important to add that we are not taking any form of payment from monies raised. That's obvious but people are skeptical.
I like many of you dont have to worry about money any more. We're some of the best placed people to get something done here.
Muppet (23 April 2019)
Not sure about the air temperature since I don't know of a source that doesn't cherry pick the data, so I don't know if the world is getting warmer, but I'm certain it's getting dumber by the minute.
And it's man-made.

Climate change is gradually getting worse and the weather all over the world has been weird and erratic. Sea levels are also continuing to rise everywhere as well as many other global disasters.
I have to just agree with Dan on this one lol...
