Default Commonly requested brand logo sizes

I am after what are the common sizes of brand logo's requested by affiliates, as well as icons. I am trying to create the BetOnline logo in a variety of different sizes for affiliates to use and after the exact sizes required? From a small icon size to large image with all the sizes inbetween.

    Hi Simon,

I hope you had a Happy & Peacefull Easter .....................................

    Just for you:

The most common banner size used to be 468 x 60 pixels (Full Banner). To standardize, the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) specifies ad sizes in their Ad unit Guidelines . The sizes they're recommending these days are 300x250 (Medium Rectangle), 180x150 (Rectangle), 728x90 (Leaderboard), and 160x600 (Wide Skyscraper). In fact, I don't see people following these IAB size recommendations very closely. You'll see a lot of 125x125 (Square Button) on sites, too.

Hope this helps you out mate.....................

Whoops..........when you design a logo Simplicity becomes the key factor here. The optimal and balanced use of shape, color, form, consistency and clarity can create a striking visual logo that will stand out from the crowd. The logo should be made in only 2 types 1. High resolution for print etc and a low resolution (vector) for the internet. Then the webmaster/affiliate can choose which one suits for the purpose in hand!!!!

I have seen many image sizes - can you maybe offer a vector (.ai) format logo so affiliates can modify the size themselves?

You mentioned brand logo.. the most commonly used size would have to be a 120x60, 125x125, 85x20. Also going by the logo in your avatar, it would make sense to have to variations on the logo, white background and a dark one.

    Hope this helps.

120x60 is a popular one from what I have seen.

Just sign up to an affiliate program and take a note of all the different sizes they use. Even if you create a size that noone uses atleast they will have the option in the future to use it.

The most common banner sizes are:

    120x60, 120x120, 120x240, 120x600, 125x125, 234x60, 250x250, 300x250, 468x60, 728x90

As far as logos are concerned, I would check some a few affiliate sites and see what they offer - many customise their size so having a version where affiliates can do this would be helpful.

On the other hand, you don't want people editing and playing around with brand guidelines/IP etc

Thank you for your feedback and apart from the regular banner sizes I have 5 sizes to go after. More after just providing the logo's to certain affiliates over banners only.

I think if you just make a few square and rectangle ones in high enough quality that the affiliate can resize them themselves that is usually pretty acceptable. For logos it is pretty rare that anyone needs anything bigger than a 200x200px.

at least one PSD logo file helps for resizing without losing quality. Otherwise .ai file works
