Default Content thief is hard at it!

I have found a good deal of my content copied on http://pokerjoesbonus.com. You may want to double check your content if you promote any Everleaf poker sites, BigBet poker, G2GPoker. All of these pages had my content copied word for word.

His host is Godaddy, they have been notified of the infringement, Google notified as well.

Damn shame when someone is too lazy to write original content or too cheap to hire a writer. I will never stand for it. Sent them emails and sufficient time to remove the content, went un-done and ignored. So I took the next step.

It looks as though Godaddy disabled the site.....

There is hope after all especially when Godaddy does the right thing. In most cases Godaddy does nothing except instruct one to contact their lawyer. This sort of action from Godaddy although positive they still retain the number one spot for cyber crime. Either knowingly or unknowingly but either way they seldom take no action.

I was a bit surprised myself. Figured I would have to jump through a few hoops to get action. I did use a standard DMCA form when I emailed it. Although I did have to mail it twice as the links that I left in triggered the spam/virus filters. Once I sent it with all documentation in a word document (with links removed) it took only about 12 hours, I will say I mailed it Sunday night, so I reckon the man on the switch was out for the night.

Here is the form I used, anyone is free to use this form:

    Copyright Notice Infringement Information:

    1. Identification of the material that you are claiming that is being infringing, with information about its location reasonably specific to permit us to locate the material URL or Web Address: _______________________________

    2. Please fill in the following statement:
I _______________________________, have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and

    3. Please fill in the following statement:
I _______________________________, swear under penalty of perjury, that the above information in their notification is accurate and that they are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

    4. The infringement reporters:
    Name: _______________________________
    Addresses: _______________________________
    Telephone Number: _______________________________
    Email Address _______________________________

    5. The electronic or physical signature of the owner of the copyright or the person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
I submitted the links to the content, copied the infringed upon content and as there were several pages that the content appeared, I referenced the pages and noted the content was also on those pages.

I think the kicker to this all is using the standard form (Thanks to BlueHost that supplied it to me in a nother case last year). And the documentation that went along. It was a four page word doc by the time I finished.

I'm glad to see that Godaddy so quickly as well. That's good news.

Have you submitted the DMCA to Google? Have they removed it from their SERPS?

Yes I did submit to Google Sunday night, been so deep into a revision that I did not take the time to check. I will see what I can find and report back later.

Nope, still in Google... one nice thing though, is if you click the link(s) it errors out as the website is offline.

They were quick to respond. His site is back online but not with my content and I do check regular too. Now he just cuts and pastes the content from the poker sites to his "review".

Be sure to check through the pending private members as he applied and it is up for a vote right now.
