    Default CR-Bonus Spam

I've just received an email for Casino Action from the website cr-bonus.com. SPAM.

Want to know the best bit? It was sent to this email address :

    donotemailaff-ian at doolallys.com

Blatantly trying to avoid emailing affiliates but not making a good job of it.

Good catch...and a bit funny at the same time...except that I hate spam so much...

I read recently that it is suspected that spam now accounts for 90% of email sent.

Yep, I had to read that part again too.....

Lately I have personally been spending a few hours a week....adding subject lines, senders and keywords from headers to the mail server filters...

I have personally reduced the servers outgoing load by more than 20%...

I just wish more of it was stopped BEFORE it gets in the front door.

(For anyone that doesn't understand why spam filtering only stops outgoing mail...the mail server or spam filtering appliance must recieve the mail before it can filter it. The filtering just stops it from having to be sent to or downloaded by clients)

Doolally, I hope you saved a copy of that one for Renee....

Can you please forward this to me?
I can't find that email in our affiliate db, so not sure what the deal is. Either way I will be able to sort it out if you could forward over the email.
    Cheers

    Renee,

Sorry, just noticed your reply. I've sent over the offending email. I'm still receiving them by the way!

    Regards

    Ian

Gotta personally say thanks! If more programs would do some digging and get rid of these spammers the entire industry might get a face lift. Unfortunate that the major offenders are not members here (duh).

I agree that more programs should take a more pro-active....or at LEAST a re-active role in helping to eliminate spam....

But we can NOT lay the entire blame on the programs....

I doubt there is a casino that exists on the internet that I have not been spammed for....and I would rarely say it was the casino sending the mail itself but a spamming affiliate.....

I get so much that I just don't have the time to forward it all to the programs.....

These guys have been spamming me for months, also on a private email address. Clearly an affiliate program has sold us out somewhere along the line.
