We have bullet-proof revenue-share deals on online poker networks that:
    A) no longer allow them
    B) do not like winning poker players
    C) charge insane fees

Wouldn't be surprised to see 10k+ soon and let's hope a new record of 20k+ is going to happen this year.

If we see 20k+ this year I will start selling 1st time in my life, unless there is some major shift in fundaments. So far no really big news happen. No ETF, no central banks buying openly etc.

Anyways the market will do whatever it wants regardless our wishes.

If I were holding crypto, and it started making new all time highs this year, I too would sell into it. Assuming one could find a reasonable way to do so.

Any of you crypto guys know anyone buying gold, silver, etc with crypto as a hedge and/or diversification?

I was buying from them (not for crypto, but they take btc), it was smooth. Free delivery.
Yes I hedge crypto with gold. I do not think it is a good bet, but just in case I am crazy.

Agree with Sherlock. BTC needs to rise slowly in 2019 and take ALTs with it. If we see the same hysteria this year as during the last bubble then I will sell my stack and wait for the bubble to burst.

Why does it need to take alts with it? Most ALTS are garbage shitcoins that will never have a real world use!

Very true, but there are some gems. It will be good for the blockchain industry in general if other blockchain projects see success alongside BTC.

Sure, and I want those to succeed. But what I dislike seeing is BTC going up and EVERY SHITCOIN going up along with it. If I look at the top 100 coins, rarely do I see more than 3 on any given day that buck the trend, whether that trend be up or down for the day.

In other words, the market moves too much as a whole, with not enough differentiation between the coins. It clearly isn't mature yet IMHO and I was expressing a desire to see it mature more.

I stand corrected. I see at least 7 non-USD equivalent coins bucking the trend right now!

Because you need just one mediocre BTC holder who decides, after BTC goes up, that he needs to "diversify". Since many people, esp. from USA, are afraid of paying capital gain taxes, they diversify into random shitcoin and start random avalanches.

Do not forget that at low cap shitcoins you need much less than 1 USD invested to raise the market cap by much more than 1 USD.

Also do not forget how strong is gambling habit in people, so the shitcoin "traders", just losers with maxed credit cards, who jump on any rally, make the impression that the shitcoin market is something, just worse.

That said I am also part of the shitcoin market now, because I think it might be EV+, the only question is when to leave the sinking ships. If I am completely beaten with shitcoins, good for me.

There have been a lot of rumours about Facebook's cryptocoin, but it seems to be real now: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-48383460. I think it will be really good impuls for the whole ctyptocurrency market.

Thanks vardan, for that post about Facebook Crypto Coin, the post you made and article you linked to is important enough to have it's own discussion thread and therefore will be copied and cross-posted into it's own discussion thread.

4 years ago I put into it roughly 20% of my net worth. It went up roughly 40x now at price 9000. So I am about 10x richer just because of conservative investment to btc (it is actually better because I was hoarding all btc affiliate payments on the top). But I am making much more now than 4 years ago thanks bet365 (closed account TM) in fiat, so I wait for even higher prices to sell.

I have BTC and in lesser amounts forks like BCH or BCHSV. I sold from airdroped only XLM, because it is a shitcoin of shitcoins. I bought some altcoins and they are going much worse than BTC (still they are apreciating a bit against fiat). I will not name the altcoins in public, because it is like telling which women i had sex with.

Don't get that part with bet365, how do you make money in fiat now?
20% is a big portion, very nice.

    4 figures of multiple coins.

Now the question is, which coins MUAHAHAH

Seriously though, one of the main things about crypto, as I understand it, is that it is pseudo-anonymous in most cases and anonymous in others. It is unlikely that people here are going to disclose a ton about their holdings unless they are big FU to the government types, aka Sherlock :P

For the record, I was kidding.

I heard a week or so ago that Craig Wright had filed some sort of patent claiming to be Satoshi again and then BSV doubled in price.

    From the article:

"the price of the cryptocurrency seems to be undergoing a correction as it recorded a slump of over 4 percent in the past one hour,"

    Correction? 4%?

LOL! That is a normal gyration for damned near any crypto asset

Unfortunately, I can not read Chinese so I the story you linked is untranslatable... I can't even use Google Translate because they use an image instead of Chinese text. So I can't take what they say about the "fake news" seriously.
