    Question SEO Tips & Strategies

    Hey fellow members...

As a newbie to the industry i thought it would useful to ask the question ''Which Seo strategies work for you?'', both on page and off page.

It would great to get some insight from well established gambling affiliate webmasters.

    Looking forward to your responses

    Thanks

I will start it off by making 2 suggestions.

on page: Add a lot of good content on a regular basis.

off page: get inbound links from quality sites. Don't forget to get links from social networking sites also.

Valuable tips given by sweetbet. Also, when building your site Google looks at Authority, Content and Age.

If you want to build a successful site you must be ''everywhere''. Unfortunately to rank in Google nowadays there's no ''quick fix'' solution. At this stage we're focusing primarily on quality content and off page factors.

What we can add more? The link strategy must be very mixed, nowadays.
Do not push with them. I always say, web-site is like a child, you need to grow with them.

    Onpage strategies are actually given.
Creating quality content is not only for onpage but also for offpage too -- article marketing or document sharing would be the best approach.
Strategies that will be needing more time and effort yet the outcome is just worth it.
Make your content useful and reproduce it without duplicating it. How?
Submit your content to one high DA article submission site.
Create a video out of it.
Create a document presentation out of it.
If applicable create an infographic out of it.
    And many more....

    I start with some basics

think about the keywords you want to rank for
create the best possible page for this specific keyword and try not to focus this keyword on more pages than one
provide good content on your sites and always a minimum of 300 words
try to provide different content formats like "text, images, videos, etc."
Make unique page titles and descriptions on every single page
link your most important pages on the homepage and try to make an easy navigation
imo on page is more important than offpage

All the information that you have shared with us is really awesome with SEO point of view but only if you have fresh content in your blog and update it on regular basis.

And also the most difficult links to get. Very few sites in our niche have edu. and gov. backlinks. Google does not give weight to these links like it used to but they still hold considerable value for a site.

Do you think for .edu and .gov links that they need to be niche specific? I guess if they are they have more weight.

To be honest, there is very little reason any .gov would link to a gambling portal, and my guess is that the big G knows this.

I also can not see a whole lot of reasons for a .edu to do so either.

Except for those that have hacked either type of extension, or maybe the person works there and is selling or trading links on pages, or the students that get an edu page with their school enrollment and they built a page to sell or trade links.

Think about it, what LOGICAL reason would the state government of Nebraska (state chosen randomly) have for linking to a gambling portal in Ohio?

You hit the nail on the head. Google also sees gambling in the same light as it sees adult and viagra sites in other words it construes it as a 'bad neighborhood'.

I think the chances of a one legged man winning an arse kicking contest is better than a webmaster of a portal casino trying to get an edu. or gov. backlink.

Although I do agree with most of the stuff... I think the good old one blackhat seo is perfectly working, so no matter how perfect site you got, no matter how unique the content is, thing is that you need links and to be more specific - quality links and you win.

The very first thing you should do is to decide for which keywords you are going to rank for. Then are all the others. But you should do this really carefully.

Forget quality, it's all about backlinks. Quite frustrating sometimes, but that's the level playing field.

Look f.e. at some of the pages in top 3 /4 Google results. Quality? Lol... I see pages with reviews from self-called casino "pro's" that never saw a casino from the inside and a review is a synonyme for how fantastic every casino is... even some rubbish casinos that are blacklisted everywhere...
