It took a while, but eventually these 2 or 3 guys got the picture....there is a post once in a while. Since I don't police the site every day, one gets through for a few weeks. Once I see it, I remove it. (I am open to having moderators of the forum if someone wishes to police it more regularly).
Marc - Actually it was someone else you had brought it to the attention of the GPWA & Michael . At the time I was confused about how the GPWA could be supporting CAC when the event coordinator was seemingly supporting such an unethical act.

In fact seeing that there are still several database for sale on your site - I am still confused.

Sure if this was some unknown joe-schmo it wouldn't be as important, but when its someone who is in such a well known industry position - I think you should be held to the highest standards - if you aren't willing to do what ever it takes, then those who claim ethics are important should not be supporting you - either that or they shouldnt go around claiming they are all for ethics.

    //->

I just wanted to add some constructivity to the mix - the moderator idea might be a feasible option, but would have to prove its efficiency - another, possibly less time consuming idea would be to eliminate the forum all together.

What is the site good for that keeps you going back and visiting it?
Of course i'm way off the mark Gunner. I was being facetious. I can't imagine any webber being pleased about it.

I go back to Marc's periodically to check to see if there are any databases for sale. I decided not to mention it for a couple of days, to see if any webmasters noticed it, and I genuinely forgot it was there.

My apologies for not drawing aff's attention to it sooner.

It is time for affiliate programs and affiliates to factor what has been revealed into their actions and vote one way or the other with their feet.
Just thought these were worth repeating.

    Yorktown,

I finally understand and appreciate the dynamics involved. Some people make mistakes and learn from them some continually make the same mistakes. Over recent events CAP has left me bewildered, stunned, and shocked. To think one’s personal safety is at risk attending a CAP event is crazy. What if I brought my son with me? Yikes!!!

But this is not about CAP but rather the CAC as it should always been. I will certainly make every attempt to attend.

Thanks Yorktown I will contact Michael.

    BTW: Well done Chips

Thank you greek39 for your understanding. It was a rough period at that time, and alot of people (myself included) were under alot of stress. The unknown of an industry, let alone a business certainly does that.

If, at this stage 3 years later, my statements and actions from that period continue to be offensive to you, then I am truly sorry. If, for anyone, this is not enough, then I have to say a phone call would be in order to settle the matter further.

So any word on when you might be addressing the ethics issue(s) with regards to your website?

Ok 5 days later and still no response on when these unethical activities will be addressed.

It's my opinion that this isn't something we can take care of tomorrow or next week - its something that should have been taken care of last year when it was brought to Marcs attention and quite frankely thats the last we should have ever heard of it!

GPWA - you have stated that you wish to offer full support to CAC - I am curious if you have any recommendations for dealing with this pertinent ethics issue? Further I am curious if you will continue to offer your full support if the issues continue to be prevelant?

Sorry for bumping this, I now have a better understanding. It's really not an important issue at all. It was just some illusion in my ethically unbalanced imagination.

I now see that GPWA/CAC and others have the industries best interest in mind - keep up on keepin' on.

If you send me a list of threads that you believe are issues then I will follow-up with Marc. In my experience he has always been very responsive when specific issues are raised. And he has put filters in place to try to stop things that should not be posted in the first place, although we all know filters do a less than perfect job.

It's not my job to babysit Marcs site any more than it is yours - its his, but hey no worries; I shouldn't be so occupied with ethics anyway. Have a good day.
