Do you have FOREX in your program?

Forex seems to be moving more and more in the focus of gambling affiliates. It would be nice to know what our members think of this business.

I have myself no idea about it, but just started small with an ad for eToro. Have no idea how far I will go.

I wanted to start with my Forex Oil Trading site but never find the time to develop it more due to other sites and changing links etc.

It's on my list of things I might get round to doing. I've picked up a couple of good forex domains but haven't any instant plans to develop them.

From what I gather Forex is difficult to get into but the studing the financial markets are pretty much a hobby of mine so it might be something worth persuing as an enjoyable sideline.

Forex is a completely different ballgame. I looked into it but decided to stick to my core sports betting stuff.

When researching, make sure the transaction isn't tied to the "Bank of the South" which is tied in with Hugo Chavez and on the USA restricted list.

No I don't promote forex (or shares) - and I have no plans to do so.

Forex is a completely different kettle of fish - it's a valuable financial tool - and used by big organisations. Newbie/novice players who are trying to dabble from home are dead money - and encouraging them to do so is a tough stance to take especially as you are only getting paid a few percentage points.

Look - I move foreign exchange around all the time - as almost no-one pays in my local currency or direct to my local accounts. I understand the market - I understand the phrases and techniques. But still I dont beleive that anyone can reliably pick the intra-day movements of currencies which would allow "trading" to be popular.

And I'd never play in this field as a speculator.

Additionally, I've NEVER heard of a gambling affiliate doing well when branching out into this area - NEVER.

So I'll ask this simple question :

Is there ANY forex affiliate out there who makes say $1000 per month out of this? Or even $500?
I'm doubtful that anyone is making even this small amount regularly.

I just want to hear it from the affiliates mouth - with an example of a working affiliate site that generates sales. Please let us know - and mention your site too - I'd be fascinated to see it.

(No affiliate managers claiming big payouts please)

I do not promote them and can't understand how they ever got accepted in the Gambling Affiliate Forums.Like Paul we shuffle around forex quite a bit for the business but also because we travel so much.I have no less than 7 or 8 currencies on the go at all times.As a gambler I think it is stupid to put that on Gambling sites , Moneybookers will convert my GBP,EU ,CAD USD for me on my way to the casino Cashier .These forex guys will never offer me that service so why should i use them?

Hey Nandakishore, you're right on target when you say that the focus is shifting towards gambling affiliates to promote forex products.

However, I think the audience/traffic is vastly different. The debate is inconclusive though about an average person who gambles would also be interested in forex trading.

It's a complex product, to say the least. And when you dig a bit deeper, there's a more complex world beyond currency trading.

I've been a forex super affiliate for over three years now and have promoted most of the programs. It takes a bit of hard work and the results are only long term.

Also, it pays if you have good knowledge about forex. especially if you write content yourself.

The way I started out was to simply research, understand and write my own content. It's an interesting business to be honest, when you get into the complexities of candle sticks, charts and technical analysis.

eToro is one of the well known brokers on a commercial/marketing aspect and is ideal for a novice- amateur trader.

Dukascopy is by far the most serious of all forex brokers. The returns are long term but the payouts are worth it.

But I think it's interesting that Forex is part of Gambling.

And what It tells us: If Forex is Gambling...all currency exchange markets are "gambling" markets. People who invest into shares of a company - actually they gamble. Shareholders are Gamblers.

And this is good so. Because it makes us realize that we all gamble ... while we open an bank account for instant.

Its just not fair that more entertaining gambling sectors don't receive the same recognition as the f.e. the shareholder-market or exchange-market.

This all is gambling, so let poker/casino/bingo be part of that.

What justifies the special treatment the gaming sector receives?

I think we gamble almost everytime when we make a decision we don't know whether we are right or wrong. Only a fundamentalist always knows that he is 'right' and all others are 'wrong'. A fundamentalist hates gambling because every time he loses a bet, he is proved wrong which cannot be.

MY STORY – FROM POKER TO FOREX TRADING

Let me start off by introducing myself to you…………..

My name is Keith Williamson and I am the Affiliate Account Manager for eToro Forex trading.

I am going to take you back many years now to the time that I was just finding myself in the world and starting to walk after many months on my knees. That’s the time I was introduced to Poker or should I say given my first pack of playing cards. It was so much fun back then just to throw them up in the air and to see how they landed………..then my father would take them and with his friends start to throw two at a time to each of them. Then they would ask for more. Some would smile and some would just throw them back at my father………very strange but fascinating behavior indeed.

Now let's turn the clock a few years forward till the person throwing the cards at his friends was me.

At the age of seventeen finishing high school and getting ready to go on to university one of my pastimes was to play this intoxicating game of skill, gut feeling and bluff. These are the three key tools you need to play Poker.

Skill is being able to read the cards and to make calculated moves taking into account the two cards you have in your hand. Then as we all know the three community cards in the middle that really start the game. From this stage the players know whether to continue or to fold (Fold is to stop playing in this game) Then there is a forth card called the "Turn Card" then final card called the "River Card" this were many games are won or loosed.

As the years passed playing poker with friends, and getting to a stage that I was becoming a very good player. I decided to chance my hand in the real world of a live tournament. This was an excited and new environment of tense people getting ready before the battle. These tournaments can go on for days till they reach a final table of six players to battle it out to become the champion.

I could go on for many days describing in full the electricity that is in the air at these venues and also these days the riches and fame that comes from the top tournaments.

Let's take another warp drive and now that I am in my forties I was introduced to the new and exciting environment of "Forex Trading".

As we all know reaching that middle life age we are staring to look for other and interesting avenues in life. I being one of those people was introduced to the world of Forex Trading and with the tools I had fine tuned realized that I could also use them to great success in Forex trading. This world of forex trading also uses the three principals that I used down the years for playing Poker, skill, gut feeling and bluff.

I started off by choosing the pair of the GBP/US and carefully watching how these pair reacted over a period of time to what was happening to the markets around the world. Feeling good about myself I decided to start trading with the practice platform of eToro Forex Trading. Its user friendly interface for the newbie traders is superior to any other programs were looking at graphs and figures just blinded me. I could see with visual graphics what my pair was doing real time.

Trading with the eToro forex platform became exciting and with the vibrant community spirit with other newbie traders was a delight. I was introduced to an all new world and also too many new friends.

Since the establishment of the eToro Forex Trading platform in 2006 I have been trading and swopping pairs and also trading in the commodities market of Gold, Silver and Oil.

I am not saying that the crossover from Poker to Forex made me the millionaire that I want to be and still wishing to be, but it gave me a new interest in life.

In general every aspect of life is gambling or risk................no matter how you disguise it. From the moment you wake and open your eyes and make that first decision,you are taking a risk or gamble !!!!!

Its a gamble when you choose which bank to invest your money with and to let them re-invest or gamble your money on the world market!!!!!!

All our daily acts are one of "Gamble" "Risk" "Chance" "luck" "Investment".

In terms of what people earn from my experience talking to Forex affiliates I would say there are a fair few Forex affiliates making some serious money out there - Their sites and their apporach is very different though it is much more intelligent and a long game rather than simply seo and then bounce the user on. They know the market and are more like consultants/advisors than simply running a site. Its hard work but the money can be very big

As I thought - Gambling and Forex have nothing in common - neither in viewers nor in advertising.

Those attempting to make the link are simply trying to commerically expand the target range of their particular product. (unsuccessfully)

Can't believe I have myself as the second person to vote "What is forex????", but it's a good thing the option was included 'cause I am really clueless about it. I've seen this advertised all over the web and etoro seem the best contender, but I don't really know how the thing works. Okay, I know you would say, "read wiki pages". Perhaps, what helps me more understand it is a practical example.
