Do you have a Google+ page for your business?

The GPWA just announced it has a Google+ page (google.com/+GpwaOrg), so I figure this is a good week to ask about whether folks have Google+ pages for their businesses.

Besides sharing whether or not you have a Google+ page, be sure to share the reasons that you do or don't as well.

I have a couple of G+ pages for my main sites. I don't receive much traffic from them. They are just part of my link building plan.

I have one, thought I do not know if it holds any value at all. I have it just because people say "social signals" count or whatever. I also had it up because of the google authorship that closed down eventually.

It doesn't really need any "maintenance" so it's there, just another platform to link your content on. So far they haven't chased away people related to gambling, but at the same time, it's not like they provide any sort of traffic or anything at all.

I have a page for my websites if that is what is meant by your business. I mainly started these pages just to get links but now it s a great way to have new pages indexed quickly and you have to figure, it is a Google product and our lives are impacted by Google pretty heavily so if big G develops something for webmasters you better use it!

Yes, we push content out through google+ every week in a similar fashion to facebook and twitter.

Truth is though that the interaction from our followers on google+ is a tiny fraction of what we get from the other two which suggests to me that the number of marketeers on google+ outweighs the number of genuinely interested folks!

Is a way to update your partners/friends on your latest news, you can also see what everybody else is up to, support your friend’s post by sharing them and giving them a like.

I have same answer as xecutable. Did setup for our previous project just because people said it is good

We didn't receive any traffic from there as I don't believe people use it a lot!

Btw, I didn't follow G+ in past year what are the news? I've heard rumours that they want to close it as unsuccessful project. I still haven't set it up for MrBinary.co.uk as I don't see the point atm, does someone think it is still important? I am also really curious why GPWA had setup their account just now?

I have a G+ for my current project, but I'm not focused on the development of that page.
May be it is good for a few links or it has a great potential I haven't discovered yet...

We actually set it up a few years ago, and then never did anything with it. When we launched the GPWAtime.org website a few weeks ago, and I coordinating adding links to the other social networking sites we have (Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn), I figured it made sense to include G+ as well. So, we prettied it up as part of that project, and then made an announcement here in the forums as well. From a social networking perspective, those three are much more important to us. We have 16K likes on Facebook, 4K members on LinkedIn, and 2K followers on Twitter. On G+, before we announced it yesterday, we had 100 followers there. Since yesterday that has increased about 50% more. Of course, on G+ we are following everyone back.

I used to have a G+ account but I connected it with wordpress. The result was that google banned the profile due to the fact that wordpress was publishing all my posts and reviews on the account, and not sure why, it was considered spammy. Thinking if I should recreate that g+ profile or not, since I'm not sure which content is legit to publish and which isn't....

Hey Traffickitty,

I used to publish all my Harbour Gaming news on my G+ & twitter and I never had any problems. I had a separate G+ account that was not linked to the HG wordpress site. Give it a try!

Yes - we have a page on G+ and put posts on it.
No - I never login to G+ to use personally to connect with friends or read the junk that is there ...

And THAT in a nutshell is why G+ has completely failed as a social network - very high noise - very low REAL engagement.
