Default Do you have pages, that are unexpectedly performing well?

    Hi,

I recently noticed that one of my pages is randomly getting traffic I was never aiming for. The page itself is purely informative, so is the intent with which people are finding it. Those visitors are not interested in betting or casinos and I was wondering whether I should try to somehow monetize that traffic or if I should just let it be.
Perhaps someone had a similar dilemma and has some experience to share?

I think that answers your question. If you think that there would be very little response if you put ads on there then leave them off. Otherwise you are turning a high traffic informational page that helps your site into a commercial page and that could have the opposite affect.

If you are getting very general traffic you could throw some google ads on there to pick up a bit from it, depends on the volume you are getting.

Unless they've changed things they're very funny about adsense going on the same sites as gambling affiliate links.

funny but happens almost all the time to everyone, but most of them are not aware of this.

everyone has a google analytics script installed on their website. 80% of webmasters don't know how to use it. for affiliates, it's even worse as the conversion is on a third-party site.

    real use case:
a new affiliate, ~50 FTD a month, start to track his traffic (views, clicks, and conversions). after few days he saw that 10% of his traffic was sent to a page he did not target (sounds familiar?).
he took his top 3 converting brands and created a CTA list. after one month of traffic, he noted that the conversion rate is poor compared to what he used to on those top 3 brands.

He opened his google search console to see what search query leads to this page and it was "free" and "demo" kind of traffic. so he looked for 3 brands that have this "free" and "demo" kind of offer and rebuild the list.

after a month of traffic, he generated 4-5 extra FTDs a month.

track your traffic, track your conversion, don't assume you know where the money came from.

your 50K balance on the account can be:
    a. 50 players that each one deposit 2K,
    b. 50 players that 48 deposit EUR 100 and 2 players that each deposit 40K

The first part of your comment makes sense to me, not the second half.

I fail to see how Google Analytics is going to tell an affiliate where their whale customers are coming from if it is not connect to affiliate player data, and can not associate web traffic with player data.

Technically it possible. to do so, you need to connect your affiliate player data (tracking software such as Routy) with your google analytics. it called server-side events https://developers.google.com/tag-ma...side/send-data

BUT the fact that it's technically possible doesn't necessarily mean that you should use it.
as iGamaing affiliate, you are only dealing with a single transaction such as CPA, but ongoing depositing players. The fact that all of your account deposit 10K doesn't mean that your balance is 10K*number of players.

We had an article about the biggest casino wins and that article got a lot of traffic. That was pretty weird.
