Yeah, come to think of it, I remember making this stuff 10 years ago! And it still takes just as long!

You can make one too if you like. I downloaded Beneton Movie GIF for free. It's pretty good if you're bored.

I think it looks quite nice, with a retro feel but as Doolally said, not all the text is easy to read.

That would lok great on a few FrontPage sites I have seen, but don't put it in anything post 2000. If you do try to make it High-Res and don't use bold.

I wonder if you reduce the stroke layer on the font (the black) if it would sharpen the font slightly.

It might be old skool as others have said, but depending on the site it could be the attention grabber that would work.....

Yeah, I think a clearer, more defined font and it might stand out more than a conventional banner ad. It was really simple to make, I drew the image in Photoshop, then just coloured each letter to make an individual frame. I ran it through Beneton Movie GIF which was free online, and that was the result.
With a bit more creative thinking, and sharper fonts, it might earn a few clicks.

I just took a look and see it is over 800k so keep that in mind for it's usage since it will weight pages down quite a bit.
