Question Do you provide content on your sites only in English or in other languages?

I've spent the last week and a half in Spain - first at the Barcelona Affiliate Conference, which included iGB Espania, then at WrB (which had speakers both in English and Spanish with translators), and finally at the European iGaming Congress and Expo.

Being immersed in the various conferences here, I've been wondering about the focus of GPWA members on providing content in languages other than English. Certainly there are members that only provide content in English, but there are also members whose focus is primarily or exclusively on providing content in other languages as well.

So, for this week's poll please share your language focus in terms of English versus other languages. Besides answering the poll question, share in a post whether you have plans to change or evolve your current language focus, and what your experience has been in different languages if you provide content in multiple languages. If you do provide content in different languages, do you do it on the same site or on different sites?

Just English for me. Running things on my own gives me enough to do in 1 language without adding more into the mix.

I have toyed with the idea of adding those translator programs that translate everything on the fly when the page is requested but I have concerns over how accurate they are. I don't suppose they're very good. Anyone any experience with these?

I post all my stuff in English, however I saw a great plugin today to google translate everything - although I am not sure if this will have a negative SEO impact so dont think I am going to use it

I don't speak any other languages (other than ordering a beer) and don't want to offer non-english content that I wouldn't understand. It could easily be a load of crap and I wouldn't know.

One day I'd like to get into other markets, but I think I'd need to hire someone to run it for me that was fluent in the language.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, google translate isn't really the same as offering content in other languages.

I have found that the 'Google Translate' plugin (whilst having no particular negative SEO that I've seen) is good, but not amazing. So it gives the native speaker an idea of what the content is about, but the grammar and sentence structure can go horribly wrong. As long as you are clear that you are using google translate though, I find that visitors are forgiving - especially on affiliate sites.

But to be honest, if you want to get real trust and good conversions you need native translators doing the work. We are currently getting our casino's translated into 9 languages and we are using native speakers to do the job.

I second this. We offer our content in quite a few languages other English and we get all the translations done by humans!

I've seen a few of the plugins that translate, however I too have wondered whether or not they truly are as good as they seem. Surely it can't translate everything, word perfect, in a mouse click?

Mine is all in English but I also mainly only promote US facing barnds. I do need to diversify a little and create a site that is not only US facing brands. With that said what is next most popular language that others use. Or a better question may be what is next non english languafe where the majority of residents do not speak or understand english but like to gamble?

100% of the content on our site is in English...
we have spent lots of cash, time and effort in creating sites in other languages and have outsourced content writers....translators and development....alot of work and can be a nightmare to manage but the payoff can also be HUGE.......Dutch, german and swedish seems to be our strongest markets....

Most of my sites are also in English. If I'm not offering foreign language pages on a particular site, then I try to post a few flags to direct visitors to particular casinos in their own language.

My sites are mostly in English, with the exception of some multilingual sections I got from the casinos in the past (duplicate content). I might hire some content writers in the future to write me a few multilingual casino reviews, but only when I can improve my rankings and income

All my sites are in English only, but I like to offer more languages (like Spanish, German and Swedish) for my main site in the future. Since grammar has to be 100% and automated tools are just horrible, this means I have to hire professional translators all the time.

We have Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and some English content on our sites. And the google translation is horrible when you get an email that was translated into swedish you will know directly that they used google translate.
