Default Do you trust a program changing affiliate managers frequently ?

Super big red flag for me
When the affiliate manager is being changed frequently, something is not going right within the company

Im not pointing finger at any company, just in general...

What do you guys think ?
Does it mean something if the affiliate manager is being changed often ?
Or you just dont care ?

I personally don't care all that much, an affiliate manages is a person for hire, quite often the position is sort of similar to a support representative. Such positions often have people come and go.

I haven’t encountered this, but it’s unlikely that my level of trust would be high.

I would definitely have questions about this. But that doesn't mean that something wrong.

If we only worked with companies that didn't change AM's every 5 minutes then we would be working with about 3 brands. It's the nature of the industry, they are often all based in similar locations (Gib, Malta, etc) and the AM's just move between them. I have an AM right now that has been my AM with 7 different programs in the last 6 years.

Whether it's a red flag or not is debatable, but strong relationships built through longer tenures tend to produce better results for both sides as far as I'm concerned.

I suspect there's some kind of hierarchy within the industry so some jobs are merely stepping stones to bigger and better things, so some programs at the lower end will have a more fluid team shall we say.

If the Affliate program and company is trusted, and the case managers switch up rapidly, i dont think that is a big issue.

    It doesn't matter.
So do the statistics. There are Asian programs that you don't even have a login panel. Just when someone registers and you earn something they write you an email.
It's nice to have statistics and the same AMs.

However, it doesn't change the fact, if someone wants to cheat, they will cheat despite the millions of statistics and great AMs. And if someone doesn't want to cheat he won't cheat without stats and without AM.

It’s certainly a big red flag and something to really worry about.

It doesn't seem like a bad thing to me. It's not the first or most important thing I look for in an affiliate program, but if I'm having trouble with one and see constant changes, it definitely raises my suspicions.

If it’s not a good place to work for the affiliate manger, whether that’s pay or the way they are treated, that sends alarm signals regards their ethics or their revenue. I’ve lost track of the amount of affiliates /bookies/casinos that have sent me emails recently saying they closing. Also, some of the more freelance aff managers telling me companies not paying them what they owe. Whilst its not a RED flag on it’s own, it’s circumstantial evidence…… that should be noted.

I get the location thing, no problem about that.

But 7 companies in 6 years is not about location
7 companies in 6 years is called serious instability and needs to be addressed one way or another

She is actually a good AM though, clearly has itchy feet and moves around a lot for new challenges / better conditions perhaps. The point being just because the AM changes a lot doesn't mean they still can't do a good job. Sometimes new AM's can be good as it can refresh a stale relationship.

I really don't like revolving doors with affiliate managers. Very few new affiliate managers don't get the training from their programs resulting in a lot of extra time we need to spend to help them and answer all the same questions over and over again. Gets very frustrating, not with the new AM's but that the programs don't provide them development.
