Default DOM Tree Trimming - Need A Coder or Tool...

I want to do some experiments with reducing the size of the DOM tree on a couple pages and see if it has any material affect on metrics. No I do not expect this to be The Holy Grail or to have much effect at all really, but I like to tweak.

I would love if there were some online tool that could read the html and provide suggestions for reducing DOM, but after numerous searches I have failed to find one. Alternatively, anyone who is good at efficient CSS/HTML coding could help with this project. I would happily pay or share current and future results if someone else is interested in exploring this idea!

I am tired of seeing messages like this in PageSpeed Insights and other speed testing tools.

Nightmare isn't it. I wake up in the night screaming DOM, TBT, FCP, TTFB, CLS.

Just about to take the potentially catastrophic step of paying someone 30 quid on Fiverr (now there's an anomaly) .

If I do it (so far been thinking for 5 days)...and get any success...I will share

Would love to hear your experience and results with any part of the process. Hell, I would be interested to see who on Fiverr you think is capable of doing such work!

I believe we have found someone to look over our issue, and if we proceed, I will definitely share results/contact information if anyone wants it.

I tried the Fiverr route and - as kind of expected - it failed spectacularly. Have now spent last 3 hours trying to undo what he tried and speed is still down (worse than what it was), menu not displaying properly (which is probably upping the CLS). The moral of the story.....get someone who knows for sure what they're doing, and knows how to get it back the way it was if it all backfires.
