    Pat,

I live on the 10th floor and when the tremor hit us, our building actually swayed enough for the chandelier to rattle. At first I thought I was passing out or having a stroke or something - then I realized it was the building, not me.

Anyway - no injuries or damage.

Thanks for thinking about us. My first and hopefully last earthquake!!

I'm in London which is about 400 miles (7 hours drive) from Ottawa. I can't imagine being in or around Ottawa when that thing struck.

Funny thing - people who live on the first floor never felt a thing yet when I got outside, there were a whole group of people - all from the top 3 floors - standing around wondering what happened. Same with the building beside ours.

I initially though we had been hit by a truck or plane.

Glad everyone is well. Being from Texas I have no idea what it is like to be in a quake. I imagine it's a scary feeling, even if it's a small one.

I can't imagine what it would be like to experience such a thing. Thank goodness everyone is fine. What's the aftermath look like?

I thought my eyes were screwing with me cause my monitors were moving until I seen the water in the fish tank swaying. Went outside then immediatly went to the basement to check if the furnace was acting up. Couldnt think of anything else that would cause things to vibrate...

Glad everyone is well. I can picture the occasional tremor on the West Coast but this was a real surprise.

There seems to be a lot of earthquakes lately. I don't recall so many.
