Question Reliable Affiliate Program for Sports Betting

    Hey Guys!

We've recently adopted a portfolio of 6-7 sports betting websites that used to post free football/soccer tips.

They have never been attached to an affiliate network and we would like to try that (not just selling premium tips).

Could you suggest me a good affiliate programme, which accepts sports betting traffic and at the same time accepts many GEOs (the majority of our visitors are coming from Africa but we have also decent number of players from USA, Scandinavia, India etc.)?

I know that it will be hard to cover all the GEOs with just a single brand to promote but any advice or help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    B

I am sure you will likely get quite a few recommendations for the various markets you mentioned.

You mentioned the US but did not state whether you wanted to go strictly regulated or not. Someone like CommissionKings/wagernetwork might be a decent choice of that, and it doesn't hurt to take a look at Everygame also.

For the other geo's you mentioned, I am sure a few of the members will offer good options depending on those markets.

Deckmedia Affiliates are also very good and they always payout early every month.

It's not easy being global. Most sportsbooks suit one market or other - and have significant state / country restrictions.

    --- GLOBAL ---
Scandinavian players can bet with Bet365 which will suit most (but not all European players too) as well as UK, Ireland, bits of USA and Canada and Australia. But they do NOT accept everyone. Geo Restrictions apply and seem to change frequently

    See : https://www.goonersguide.com/bet365-...er-review.html

    --- INDIA & ASIA ---

Asian and Indian players are typically low rent and do better at a place like Dafabet that caters for their sports and betting odds style. However, these guys have activity minimums and have been known to stop paying if you don't generate enough traffic. The B@ST@RDS at Dafabet owe me $5K that I will never see.

Crypto bookmakers like Cloudbet are pretty good - but recently have begun to do the restrictions dance too - at my last look (a month ago) I had their restricted list at USA, UK, Australia, Belgium, China, Curacao, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Singapore, and Spain,

    See :
    https://www.goonersguide.com/cloudbet-sportsbook-review.html

    --- USA ---

The United States legal environment is a basket case of state legislation with significant rigamarole and cost to go down the official route.
DraftKings, Fanduel, BetMGM, Caesars, ESPN Bet are all this new breed of high advertising, crappy odds, ready to take the casual player.

I don't like any of them personally - all the odds are a bit off - they are just places to wager casually and eventually lose your roll because you can't beat the high "juice / vig" in their lines. But they are US licensed and will appeal to the casual (losing) punter.

In contrast - there are several large offshore sportsbooks that take "most" states with far less issue - they have 10-25 years experience and offer better odds and joining bonuses for players - and most large players use them in preference. But known as a "grey" market.

I like Bovada - they're a split off the old Bodog brand specifically designed to accept US players - but they've been running a bit scared recently with US over-reach and now have 13 states and districts restricted.

Outfits like Bookmaker.EU are very good - a bit old school - but sharp odds and a good joining bonus. BetOnline are another, as well as EveryGame which is a reinvention of the old Intertops brand.

    My thoughts : https://www.goonersguide.com/bookie_...CardContainer2

    ------------

The short answer is that you're about 25 years too late to find bookmakers that have simple terms, straight up processes and accept anyone / everyone. Anyone out there remember Interwetten and Gamebookers?

These days it is a bit of a dance - every jurisdiction has it's own rules and warnings that have to be displayed - and some sites will not like to be on a site if you are also showing grey market sites too.

    Good luck

Thank you for ALL! Yeah, I know that the the international traffic with mixure of all GEOs is kind of mission impossible to select just one bookie. So we might think of something like top 3 to recommend and take the maximum. Maybe I will choose one good brand for non-regulated US market, 1 brand for Africa (will need to see which one will convert good) and 1 crypto bookie. Not sure how it will work but we will change if the winds are strongly against us. It is always very nice when good people and professionals like you are here to help the newbies like us.

Everything indicates that China is by far the largest online sports betting market in the world. Chinese players are looking for high limits, so that's where you'll find the most high-stakes players. India is also a large (huge) market. You mention the whole of Asia. What about Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, Cambodia, Indonesia, etc.? Are these also low-value player markets? It seems that Asia is a high-value market when it comes to gambling.

    For USA unregulated market . . .

Bovada used to be good but now have 19 (NINETEEN and rising all the time) restricted states. TBH, this makes them a joke - as soon as you target one accepted state, it will soon become restricted. Unfortunately they must be avoided, especially given you are just starting out. Restricted States: https://www.bovada.lv/help/common-fa...are-restricted (use a VPN if you can't access this page, as most the world can't!)

Surprised anyone is recommending Betonline (aka CommissionKings/wagernetwork) to you, they have turned seriously rogue. There are recent threads on this forum about them slashing commissions to 10% with no communication and many queries over the validity of their stats. They don't answer emails anymore (well not if you are one of the affiliates they have ripped off). Again, they were once good, now they are to be avoided at all costs. You are starting out, so you can avoid these crooks. The only reason you see affiliates promoting them widely is because they have existing databases and must keep sending referrals to maintain payments from that.

Oh, and while I'm at it, avoid BetUS - total and complete crooks to players and, historically, affiliates. The worst.

It is true the regulated US market is a nightmare and the unregulated is becoming difficult due to very few firms to trust. Gooner makes valid points on that. One of the only sportsbooks that seems ok right now in the USA unregulated market is MyBookie (at webpartners.co) - just 4 restricted states and while they pay a month after everyone else, they do pay and so far, they do stick to their agreements. I don't think they are amazing for players or, consequently, for affiliates. They are just ok, but that's better than most of the rest of the USA unregulated sportsbook market right now. It was a lot better even just a couple of years ago.

Thank you, guys! What about African traffic? We have many visitors from Nigeria and Kenya, what we can promote there? It seems the local bookies that accept players from these countries are already either full (everyone has an account there), or they pay small comissions (up to 30%).

30% is fine for sports betting. That’s typical and I wouldn’t describe it as low. Rather 30% from an honest firm than 50% from a rogue. If anyone is offering more than 30% to a newbie then I’d be wary. Casinos may pay more but not so much for sports.

Every day I am learning something new. I thought 50% is something normal, including for sports betting. What about CPA? Do you think affiliates can offer you CPA for sports betting, too?

Yes, CPA deals or hybrid deals (rev share and CPA) can be done for sports. Though I have never done CPA - only rev share. I've seen some big affiliates say the same. It seems to me there are more arguments with affiliate managers over CPA deals and the 'quality of traffic' than with rev share. Others may have a different view. Again, just my opinion, but if you want good, serious long-term income then rev share is the way forward. One of my biggest earners over the last 25 years has been a company paying 25% rev share (though I did get it raised to 30%) that a lot of affiliates avoided solely because their rev share was too low and they had a visible admin fee. In fact they made more money per player for me than almost anyone else simply because they were honest and most other firms were obviously deducting / shaving much more unseen. Anyway, I don't recommend CPA - I see it as short-sighted, short lived, a 'get rich quick mentality' and a cause for argument. That's just me. However I am basing my views on what went on over the last 20 years. The affiliate game more recently is much harder and full of crooks, with a lot of firms who were ok for years now resorting to all-out theft of players and / or shaving. It's not something I would start doing from scratch now, but I am older now. My advice: Go rev share, go only with proven decent firms (easier said than done in sports betting), maybe only do lots of geos if you have a great geo-targeting system / developer otherwise you might bite off more than you can chew to start with. Might be best to pick your preferred geo to start with so as not to heap on the stress by trying to be a jack of all trades.

Hi! When it comes to football betting, I wouldn't just stick to affiliate programs. It's better to look at how the bookmaker's line works and how widely it covers different regions. I often work with analytics programs and catch value bets — especially on totals, when bookmakers underestimate the pace of the game or the form of the teams. The ROI there is higher than on any affiliate program for the sake of affiliate programs. As for the affiliate network itself, stability of payments and normal support are more important for multi-GEO. If you have traffic coming from Africa, the US, and Scandinavia, then choose a brand with broad regional limits, rather than those that only work in narrow local GEO. I don't advertise the brands themselves, but I can say for sure: focus on those that offer normal coefficients and high hold. Then the traffic will convert better regardless of the country.

You can try working with multiple affiliate brands depending on GEO performance instead of relying on one sportsbook globally.
For football traffic from Africa and Scandinavia, sportsbook-focused affiliate programmes usually perform well. For Indian and Asian traffic, cricket-focused platforms like Skyexchange can be a strong option because of the massive interest in IPL betting, live cricket betting, and online casino betting.
It’s generally better to split traffic based on audience interests and GEOs to maximize conversions. Also focus on brands with reliable payments, strong affiliate support, and good retention rates.
    Hope this helps!
