External links in search console

Hi -

Is there any significance in links appearing then disappearing from Google Search Console Top Linking Sites? Or not appearing there at all?

Nobody really knows, But i do noticed less links traffic drop more links more traffic, My guess is that its the most important link signal around, there are all these tools that tell you of toxic links but my guess is that the main tool is what effects your actual score.

In my mind if they disappear from the list then google hasn't picked them up when they've crawled the page most recently, so either google has ignored them or they've been removed from the page. Similarly if they don't appear at all then google either hasn't crawled the page or has chosen not to index it.

I could be wrong of course, but this how I interpret that report.

Ok - in my case there are links that are definitely still live - I've checked - and were once in the list, but now no longer are. Never seen that before. Maybe they are now being ignored. Seems odd though.
