Factors when choosing a Website for Sponsored Posts/Links
I appreciate that this might seem like a loaded question but I'm curious what factors to people take into account when acquiring links/sponsored posts on websites.
Do you look for DA, PR, PA, quality of content on site, frequency of updates, existing backlink profile? All of this, none of it, or do you use other factors in your decision making.
I'm just curious as I receive emails on a daily basis (to my UK football website) from all manner of betting sites requesting links and/or offering sponsored posts.... and all with wildly ranging offers regarding their budget.

I would look for sites with fresh and unique content. A link in a unique, well written, 800 word article on a site that is updated at least twice a week is worth 10x more than just any link on a link farm site with spun content that has been put together in 5 minutes.

I personally think DR and any other third party measure should be considered as they are: third party measures. They are not Google ones, and as the Quality Rater Guidelines issued by Google explains it is the authority that you have "in your field" that counts more, especially for YMYL (Your Money Your Life) topics. So rather than rely on a fixed measure I would focus much more on the quality of the information I can bring on a domain and evaluate how close the topic is to mine.
All the updates are going in the direction of trying to measuring quality so I would focus on it. However, if you want to support your qualitative analysis with a tool I would sugges Majestic Turst Flow.

As I am new to this forum, I cannot link to it, but Authority Hacker has a nice podcast, which gives an intro to the concept of vetting link options.
