    Default Favorite Dishes to Prepare

There are many cuisines we enjoy when we go out but what are your favorite dishes to prepare at home.

My favorites still tend to be Asian of some type. Love spicy foods. Really enjoy trying to make some dishes that I have had at a restaurant and they usually turn out fantastic by adding more/less of favorite spices.

Now I am trying to work through a freezer of various foods and finding interesting recipes to experiment with.

This is a good one to try, and you can be inventive with it......

    Mahanche (Moroccan)

This is a good recipe to follow and should end up with a nutritious, interesting, filling, reasonably 'healthy', multi-people meal (that can have leftovers saved and used over the next few days)..............https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/...gan-m-hanncha/

I add chopped dates, figs, apricots, various crushed nuts, different spices to those listed in the recipe, chillis to taste, black beans (or any type of beans) etc etc......+ side dips of apricot chutney and yoghurt/creme fraiche with cucumber and garlic...

Mine doesn't end up quite as perfectly formed as a Jamie Oliver example...but arguably the key saying is 'it all goes down the same hole, right'

PS It's vegan in the example...but just throwing in some Spanish sausage (or equivalent) works well!

I enjoy making Chinese food, have a number of recipe books to try stuff out from.

Came in really useful during lockdown when the restaurants and take-aways were all closed here, I remember making sesame prawns on toast one evening and posting a picture on facebook - the demand for the recipe from equally deprived friends and family was huge!

I love Japanese food, even cooked sushi at home a few times, but it didn't turn out as well as I would have liked

Homemade giggle-twig cookies. You have to be careful though because the more you eat, the hungrier you get.

Breakfast is a leftover dish left by children

I'm not very good at cooking, but I enjoy making miso soup! I enjoy adding enoki mushrooms as well as spinach and tofu.

My favorite dish to prepare is stuffed chicken with vegetables and spices. It is cooked in the oven with potatoes over low heat until the chicken is cooked, then browned for a few minutes to crisp up the skin.

    Simple and delicious!

I am a simple person so I really enjoy eating a good meat with a glass of wine. One day with mashed potatoes, another day with a salad, a barbecue. I also like pizza with lots of cheese and tomato sauce obviously but trying new ingredients every time I can such as pepperoni, vegetables, ham and please don't kill me but I like it with pineapple too.

I don't really like to cook at all, but the tastiest things I make are dishes with potatoes or salads.
