Obviously databases and websites being hacked has become quite common so nothing new there.

However I stumbled on this article while looking in to a report (posted here)

I find it interesting that the report states that this particular portal has a number of links from .edu websites, so maybe there is a connection there to some of the university website hackings.

Maybe someone involved in the hacks has ties to that site, or maybe ties to an seo wannabe or developer that is selling links on the .edu websites.

The article states that the FBI was notified and the flaw was patched, but it appears to me that they certainly missed something along the way....
