So what happens when you're in a traffic jam and every man and his dog in one of these things takes off at the same time. What are the road rules when you're in the air? I imagine there would be so many accidents and they would be fatal considering the height.

Very interesting. I wonder what the price tag will be.
it says something in the aricle or on the facebook post where i found this about auto-regulating fly paths.
It will be 500K-1M IMO

I am only interested if it goes back to the Future.

Very cool. I would assume you would have to abide by the same rules as a small aircraft.

I think they still need to work on the design![]()
I will order 3...very affordable I must say...LOL!
These things will not be able to fly in my country. They will get tangled with all the street cables.
Neat idea - but I see a big difference between the CGI version and the fixed wing prototype plane that they built for pilots.
I cannot see any regulating authority allowing something like this in the hands of the general public.
It's so unlikely that we will see ANYTHING like it in our lifetime - unfortunately

Well if you can't afford that, you can always go for the cheaper retro one from the 50's displayed here

That car looks like it belongs in a Thunderbirds episode.
Is that for real, $100,000 a year comprehensive insurance? I think I stick to my Peugeot.
Pretty cool, seems like a cross between a plane and a helicopter that can drive on the road.
I wonder how safe it will be though, if a bird or something hits the propeller. Would suck to be driving and have one crash into a car or house below.
This car will NOT be on the streets 2015 - if only available picture they have now is the CGI! - And of cause it will be regulated by law since it is simply to dangerous if this became a mainstream fenomena.
"First flying car" - there has been flying cars around since 50's as mentioned above.

I think the idea is awesome, like a hybrid between car and helicopter... but will be really tough to implement. Imagine how much you will need to know in order to pass the driving test...
Anyway, when I was a kid I used to dream about how the future would be, with robots cleaning the houses and all this flying cars. I guess we are one step closer to that...
Yeah I with Maria on this one will stick to my Toyota, have no complaints and have learned to increase my patience in traffic.
No pilot license needed... sounds complicated for sure, I wonder what year they are planning on launching this to the public. It will definitely take a lot of work to organize everything needed.
