When my a/c guy comes to the house, I pay when he gives me a bill.
When my mechanic fixes my car I pay when he hands me a ill.

I personally think the biggest reason some companies (especially the Playtech's) request an invoice to be signed is to sign the waiver portion that the commissions had nothing to do with US Players.

I agree that it is nice to just get paid what is shown in the stats, but that just isn't the case and some programs have been using an invoice system for years.

To me signing, scanning and sending an invoice back to get paid is not a big deal, as long as it is handled in a responsible fashion after that.

If they would acknowledge and then actually PAY the invoices in a reasonable time frame following the sending them in, things would be smooth.

When I go see a client, I perform the work, hand them an invoice and then expect them to pay in a reasonable time frame. Asking them to pay before I invoice them, well I think that would be unreasonable.

Regarding the rev-share deal types I do not agree with you my friend, the money is already belong to the affiliate, he earned this commission and he is not obligated to send anything before he gets his payment first thing!

If it was a selling goods point maybe we can argue about it a bit (and we both be right.. probably) but the bottom line is that
in the affiliation business the programs expect the affiliate to promote their brand/s by investing money and time BEFORE receiving any payment,
this means a true partnership so the affiliate should get his commission payment in top priority even if he is NOT "yet" provided invoice.
Otherwise its just not trust based relationship.

Well sorry, but you are only signing an invoice or a statement. A number of Playtech's moved to this method immediately following UIEGA.

I am more concerned with making sure those that I work with actually pay the invoice in a timely manner after they recieve it, not whether I have to take 5 minutes to send it in.

I will do my best to contact them again but unfortunately the guy I was dealing with left a little while ago. Typical I know!
