Gambling and Facebook
Hi guys, are we allowed to advertise a gambling blog using Facebook Ads? The blog has no affiliate links to casinos or poker rooms.
I would like to use the "Boost Post" feature that Facebook Ads has and advertise my poker blog post.
Eg How to play pocket Aces pre-flop.
I would then have a sidebar optin form that collects emails. I would offer a Poker ebook for beginners as the lead magnet.
Is this allowed on Facebook?
Thanks

A few minutes worth of searching would have shown a number of threads discussing this.

One story that an operator was spanked for their ads on facebook, claiming the wording was irresponsible.

Various other threads where facebook took action against some advertisers

This does not mean it is unavailable completely but you might want to read a few of those threads for insight.

Thanks for the resources Universal4. I did a search a few days ago and saw 2 of these threads. These threads talk about Facebook requiring a gambling license to advertise. I think filing a request for FB's approval is more for casinos. But I'm not sure. None of these threads mention operating a poker blog that has no affiliate links to casinos.
I don't want to get banned from FB because I was banned (on another account) recently for advertising an Iphone giveaway. Even though it was a real prize, FB thought it was a scam and disabled my account.

You might want to try different Facebook Ad accounts.
If your budget is right & you can afford to spend - it might be a good idea to buy Facebook Ad accounts from vendors on forums (but be careful and check their ratings).
Good luck!

Buying accounts may not be best, as buying or selling fakebook accounts, including their advertising accounts are against their terms. So if it discovered, the accounts could be closed, not sure what their policy of the funds might be, but it could tie up things for a bit as they might look at it as fraud.

I tried promote my gambling affiliate sites via Facebook Ads it was working nearly 2 weeks then I got ban for my whole Facebook Ads account so I applied via there form and give them a lot of documents. They wrote that process of approval will take 10 days. Now it’s nearly month and they still didn’t approve that. It’s possible to have that approval also without gambling license only with legal memo. Does anybody have experience with that FB Ads approval ?

It seems that if you advertise on Facebook, your account may be suspended.

Using multiple accounts might be a way to advertise, but then community management is hardly possible

FB admins might be very strict regarding any blog covering gambling themes, even if you have no affiliate links in text.
