Question German online gambling regulation - How will it affect the industry?

There's a lot of chatter on the German regulation coming upon us...what do you think the changes to the affiliate market in the online gambling industry will be?

    Reported in March
    Germany approves new iGaming regulations

2019 saw record year for sports betting in Germany

In August of 2019 The Buzz reported that the state treaty in Germany could cost operators huge amounts, and it could be part of what has led to closing and additional regulation changes.
Germany state treaty could cost operators 70%

Even Bet365 pulled the plug in Germany at the end of 2019, and they would only have done this if it was financially responsible.

I voted for lower, but only because there is no option "everybody will steal the last cent", which is obvious analogy from other regulated markets.

The changes will be that the affiliate market will cease to exist like in the UK.

I also voted for lower as I genuinely believe that things will only get harder for affiliates in time and there's no doubt whatsoever that there will be more regulation rules put into effect possibly in the near future.

Scenario in DE resembles those in AU, SE - some of top operators already started cutting drastically CPA budgets for German market.

Oh, the cutting already started. Some brands totally closed affiliate marketing for the German market. Just one example "Fairplay Casino". After having some conversations they told me, they are looking for some upcoming german license. I don´t get why to stop the affilate programm. Other Casinos like Wunderino, who already have some german license have some affilaite programm plus promoting via television. In fact I guess, that the affiliate market for Germany will be cut to a minimum (revenue shares, CPA´s).

Thank you all for your answers. So what markets are best to replace DE?
