Weird thing is, that apparantly Bwin wants some affiliates to keep their, sometimes year-long, special deals and is sending them personalized T&Cs to sign. Looks like the only new thing for those affiliates is the 5%-rule...

Can't quite believe what I am reading on this thread. Very lucky I have never pushed bwin and so have made very few referrals to them or i would be doing my nut at this. The 5% commission after three years, applied retrospectively is, in my view, criminal. A really nasty, thin end of wedge, precedent to set in this industry and should not be ignored by affiliates. They may retain a single, almost orphan, review page with me but would be removed from any pages with traffic.

I'm more worried about the quota than this 5% rule. Not many players will use bwin for more than 3 years, for a couple of reasons: poor customer support, not the best odds, limits etc. and of course their OnGame poker network isn't top notch either, our players don't really like it.

Just adding another opinion that the new terms are inappropriate. I joined last year and after finding out I had to request banners and links via email I simply never added them.

Changing terms retroactively, applying quotas and reducing commissions after three years will not lead to a successful program.

Bwin should really consider to modify them. Better today than tomorrow.

If any, there will only be minor changes. They are the biggest gambling company in the world, so they don't care about small affiliates.

It's funny that this kind of affiliate programs allow small affiliates to sign up. The right approach for an affiliate program that did not want small affiliates, is to have some requirements for affiliates when you sign up. I don't know exactly which requirements, but I have seen some ad networks where not everyone can become a partner.

Do you agree that this could be a fair approach instead of just letting everyone sign up and then rob them down the road? And what requirements could we accept?

I don't think it is that they dont care about smaller affiliates. I think there are some companies who dont really appreciate the benefits of affiliate marketing. They simply dont get the concept and its benefits to them. They dont value the fact that with affiliate marketing they only pay for advertising if it is successful. There are some very short sighted companies in this business, including some big ones. I believe they only really have affiliate programs because everyone else does. Other companies that I dont think really get the idea of affiliate marketing include Coral and to a lesser extent Ladbrokes. Or do they value affiliate marketing but simply can't help themselves from trying to pick the pockets of affiliates? I think it's the former.

we want to cooperate with any affiliate that has fulfils our requirements (regarding age and website content).
We apprecate partners of any country and of any size.
We definitely do not prefer any product group, size or origin.
We want to cooperate with success oriented performers.
We are having the same targets, we only earn money if you earn money.
As you will earn crossproduct earnings with bewinners, your earnings will be rising in the beginning. And after 3 years player time, your revenue share will drop. Till now you earned endlessly as long as the player played- this will change. Calculate your earnings considering your crossproduct earnings and the average player lifetime and you will see the difference.
Furthermore, a player that didn't start playing more than 3 months after registering is considered of being acquired and motivated in doing so by the bwin CRM campaigns.
Affiliation is very important for bwin- and the importance of this field is constantly rising. More than 25 affiliate managers are working internationally on consulting and servicing the bwin affiliates.
The new program, bewinners, is a step in improving the whole program.

As I understand it, for affiliates like myself with special arrangements from (waaaay) back when, there will be no cross-selling, no change whatsoever, oh, except for the 5% rule. How is that an improvement ?

After 3 years, I lose the customer - to be honest I`d rather not take the 5%, as 5% borders on an insult in my view. Give me nothing after 3 years, zero - I don`t need a pittance.

We are a (small) affiliate with them since february 2006
but this will end now.

I have another important question about the new affiliate program. We have 4 different accounts on this old system for 4 different sites, as the old didn't have the possibility to track individual sites.
What will happen to these accounts in the new program? Because of the quota you're planning on introducing it would be stupid to keep all 4 accounts. But if we close the small ones and keep the main account only, then we'll lose the players acquired on those accounts. Thus the question is will you offer the possibility to merge the accounts under one single account?

I think I have to disagree. At some point in time they will realise that they could do much better with their casino with hundreds or even thousands of affiliates supporting them. Instead right now they are losing that many affiliates and only unexperienced ones are joining.

That said, regarding their sportsbook, this change may have little affect on their business as their are way too strong and most sports affiliates won't drop them. About Poker I am currently undecided if they'll struggle or not. It will also be interesting to see what kind of role the merger with Party plays in this setup...

Don't know if it's because the new affiliate site but anyone got the payment for this month from bwin. I submitted my earnings on 10. September as until now, i got a notification on September 15 that my application was submitted to the payment department, but i don't got any payment until now.

Now realy.. takes 15 days to make a payment?

I wrote 2 emails to my affiliate manager but i don't got any response until now. So what's the problem, whit who i need to talk to clear this?

They take longer and longer nowadays. Bwin used to pay really fast until like a year ago; ever since, it takes (for me, at least) usually until the end of the month, sometimes even into the next...

Don't know but until now i always got my payments in 3-4 days after i submitted my invoice in email.

But now i take a look and i see that when i generated a revenue under 100 Euro i always got my payments in time, now i have a 300+ Euro and i got the problems to.

Don't know maybe MALLAI can help me. mallai.. can you help me in this isue? I really like bwin but i don't know what to do after this.
