Default Google bot came, saw and failed

    Help me people!

Google bot came to my site http://www.suitedaces.com 30.5. but failed to index any pages, and didnt even index the new front page title.

Ive been also struggling lately with redirecting problems and I just feel im never going to get this stuff right. Also the sites url structure got recently fixed, it used to show pages in this format www.suitedaces.com/main.php?page_id=13 , but now its changed to look like this http://www.suitedaces.com/redkings_valueback . Frankly I cant code at all nor understand a thing about it, but the new urls have something to do with canonical link/url stuff

    Feedback is more than welcome.

I have just checked your code with the html validator at w3c.org and it could be the errors seen.

    I saw 81 errors....

Now it could be something as simple as a missing close tag for a div, table, break or something that would clear up dozens or more of those errors....but with 81 on the index page it could be what is stopping the spiders from reading your content and navigation properly.

    One possible scenario to consider....

OK....Upon further inspection I see you are using a doctype of XHTML.

You are closing you're tags incorrectly.

    An example...instead of using
    Code:
    <br> it should be <br />
It also appears you have some tags open that are not closed correctly and that could make the whole page appear to have more serious errors than it does.

Buddy, the way the tags close (or self close) has to do withy the doctype you use.

The w3c site can be very helpful, and as always, asking questions here is the golden opportunity to learn from those that have been down th road before you....

Tags fixed now, thanks for the hint. Also fixed lot more broken code that the site had.

Now I just wait for google to come and index my pages? Atm it shows the old url structures and the urls indexed in google atm just redirects to the front page. Is this a problem, or are the old urls going to vanish after google indexes the new ones?
And where can I check when was the last time google bot came to my site, it should be found in the google webmaster tools but atleast I havent found it yet

If you have Cpanel, check in awstats, it will show you the last visits from all bots. For the old pages, they will go away in time, but you may wish to do a redirect from the old to the new so that any hits on the old pages do not return a 404 error.

If you do not do the redirect, you can manually request the urls be removed from google in webmaster tools. (Remove URL's in tools section)

I use some online webmaster tools to read any possible crawling errors in my site. Like how Google's Webmaster Tools help me track down my 404 pages.

Try using it and it will sure help you a lot.

I just noticed, that the new urls are now indexed
Now only thing left is to get rid of the old urls... I think google might find it suspicious that pages that earlier had content in now just all redirects to the front page. Ill see if I can get them to redirect to the new urls, but if not, whats my second best move?
