Has anyone been using the new social networking site Google Plus? I signed up a few weeks ago and was wondering what you all think about it. I like it pretty well so far and to me it's nearly identical to facebook in the way it's set up.

Are there many people active on it at the moment?
So far I have 20 people added so I wouldn't say there are a ton. But I think it's worth trying out.
just joined it, dont know what to do with it? add me i guess, does it work by searching names? im itsblitz yeah. Honest thats my real name![]()
Havenīt joined it and canīt see me bothering. Facebook is MORE than enough social networking for me. I havenīt ever used Twitter so Google Plus can go whistle.
I think google plus will be more of a webmasters social networking tool, Facebook has so much traction, that everyone is on it - and people join up and use it.. because all their friends are on it.

I've created an account and followed a few people, but not many are on it!
I don't think it will take off, nice site, but it is lacking that one ingredient I look for in social networking sites... friends!
Gonna stick around for a few more months just in case![]()
I think G+ will take off soon. With company pages to be launched later this year it will attract lots of companies and the regular users will follow.

Yes I am using Google Plus and I also like it very much. It's growing daily.
Still sceptical about Google +, however, I'm good friends with alot of people in the European Google HQ in Dublin and they use it quite extensively. In fact it's a big part of their "Googliness", using Facebook is seen to be somehow promoting the competition.
Think I have like 16 circles and 1 post- so basically no activity, but if you wanted to move your whole social networking experience over to G+ it probably wouldn't be the worst decision ever. I certainly wouldn't be bothered maintaining both, already feel like 1 social networking experience is too much sometimes.
From a company point of view we haven't rolled the dice on it yet, however, I think from an SEO point of view having the + button on your site is certainly recognized by the Google Spider.
google + and the search engine are highly linked meaning google + will get bigger. Something no online marketer cannot ignore.
Joined it a few weeks back and to be honest don't know anyone else using it. Google turned up to the party 2 years too late I think
Only thing it might be good for is link juice?

I think you have to jump on the bandwagon. It's google. It's gonna blow up at some point![]()
