Affected me bad.
soon a few positives movements.. but usually the big one is thanksgiving weekend then usually another big one before xmas then quiet until spring
Nothing major.
I dont see any difference before and after. The same visits from Google, but i have one concern.
Since end of September in Google Search Console I observe a drop of the web search clicks. For couple of days there was a small improvement and after than again the same drop. Does anyone have an idea, why is that ?

Not noticed anything specific, clearly a few did as there was some noise around it in the SEO community but the google response was as vague as ever:
Clear as mud then that!!Some have asked if we had an update to Google Search last week. We did, actually several updates, just as we have several updates in any given week on a regular basis. In this thread, a reminder of when and why we give specific guidance about particular updates. Sometimes, a particular update might be broadly noticeable. We share about those when we feel there is actionable guidance for content owners. For example, when our Speed Update happened, we gave months of advanced notice and advice. Broad core updates are often broadly noticeable. That’s why we have shared about them since last year and even preannounce them, plus provide the actionable guidance that there’s often nothing to “fix” and emphasize instead having great content. Again, we have updates that happen all the time in Google Search. If we don’t share about them, there is no particular actionable guidance to follow nor changes to make other than to keep focused on great content as we’ve advised generally.
I think about that time Google started showing Speed results in Google Console.
That means that your website does not have enough traffic yet.

strange, because i have now noticed that I have other domains which on the same date i switched to https, but they don't suffer from lost statistics in GSC. I have now added a https property (the old is still there) and I hope soon i will get new stats
Thank you for your help !

Yeah that's it, just set up a https and a http version of search console. If this is this case then you should see traffic jump in one when the other dips.
Google also now let you set up a 'domain' version of your search console which should include both. Just requires DNS verification to set up I believe.
No affect on organic traffic yet...
No effect, yet.....
The former update did some damnage though. Does anyone know how often Google updates?
There was an update a few days ago that has had a strange effect for us - we've had a huge drop in traffic yet no obvious drop in SERPS. Currently looking into whether it may be an issue with mobile speed but to be honest pretty much at a loss.
We've noticed a drop as well, but it's probably a mix in our case, since there's also work in progress in terms of some core changes we're applying...we'll keep an eye on things and get back if relevant. Good thing you guys brought this up...
