Guessing there will be another core update, as it seems that the big G is sleeping (and preparing something for webmasters).

It is true, we are due for an update. The strange thing about this shakeup is I am getting traffic to very old sites I hardly touch and usually don't get traffic to. It is very strange.

In my niche on the first page of google for many keywords appeared domains that exist a few days and are redirects to operators, without content, without anything. With a spammy domain address. They are holding for the 2nd week now.

So a G update would be useful to remove the junk from the index

It's a good day to be outlookindia, an Authority on anything you can think of from dietary supplements, casinos, sports, to best legal streaming, legal steroids, buy instagram followers (I'm just reading titles from their Outlook tab) and so on.

Once again this proves that if you have the "prime location" which online is top 3 page 1 spots, you will convert no matter what your content/site looks like. In this case it's like a hot dog cart on the 60th floor of John Hancock Tower in Chicago, it would be still killing it.

I see some of you give advice to people asking for site reviews, telling them they need to stand out, they need to re-invent the wheel. Hope this shows you that they don't, you just need a damn good strategy to rank. In all fairness if any of us had the resources for this type of ranking, we'd be doing it too.

    I would disagree.
Even if we assume that this is the case, because there would certainly be some results. Then why?

Let's say you make a perennial site is high you have, of course, for example, 500k traffic, well it's clear that you have FTD of say 50. And it's great.

On the other hand having also this 500k and having a great unique site you have instead of 50 5000 FTD. Isn't it worth making unique pages?

And already having traffic like most here. That is, a few hundred/something/thousand, then every detail counts to make the site work. Unique design, etc.

Plus the increasing number of youngsters on the market who don't remember the crummy sites from the 90s or early 2000s. And entering such a site they will immediately leave it.

Also, I have read a lot about sites, for example, with live results that have very high traffic and very low registration results.

SERPs are wild again. When the next core update comes will be a big one. Seems like a lot of A/B testing right now.

Absolutely, some massive variations from day to day and sometimes hour to hour. Overdue a core update now although whether it happens in the middle of holiday season remains to be seen.

Google did say there would be an update before the end of summer.
    Is this it?
Would be nice if Google said something but I think the employees just like messing with people

They usually post notification on the app formerly known as twitter here: https://twitter.com/googlesearchc - nothing so far
