About LinkBacksThis Friday at approximately 7am EST (noon GMT) the GPWA forums are expected to be unavailable for a period of 30 minutes to an hour.
We are migrating the GPWA forums to a new version of mySQL and are also migrating the database to new hardware.
This is the second in a series of steps we are taking to improve the underlying hardware and software architecture of the GPWA website as previously announced in the thread GPWA website server upgrade planned.
The next step in our upgrade process will be to migrate to vBulletin version 4.0. These changes will pave the way for the new GPWA version 4.0 website currently under development.

The database upgrade went smoothly and has now been completed. The forums are now available again for use.
The forum was taken offline at about 7:10 for updates (existing forum posts could still be browsed) and we were finished just under a half hour later.
