GSC's Changes to Crawl Reports

A little while ago GSC made quite a bit of changes to their "pages" section.

For me it shows pages with redirects, 403 pages, etc. with a "Validation Not Started" notice.

Does it recognize it as an issue? I mean, why would I have to "validate a fix" for a 301 redirect that I have put in place myself?
Does anyone know whether it is just poor wording or G actually sees this as an issue?

did you ask for a validation? can you post a screenshot so I can understand wht you mean?

So it's something like this, I moved some things around and the page doesn't have a "/" in the end.



There isn't really anything to fix (as the GSC suggests), at least as I see it.

Or the same applies to 404s - if a page is removed, it returns a 404, there isn't really anything to "fix" although GSC asks to "validate fix"

Thats's normal., there is nothing to validate.. if you see that the 404 or 403 are fine them leave them... this is for perhaps you may have trashed or redirected a page by accident.. then fixed you would then validate and after the fixed page should bew removed from that group

I don’t think 404 and 403 should be considered ‘fine’. They are still errors although errors that are out of our general control. Perhaps there’s a way to contact site owners for this type of occurrences?
