H1 /h2

I've never used this particular theme and I've noticed that it doesn't place H1 tags. The titles of the posts/pages are defined as H2.
The title of the site is supposedly defined as H1 - but when choosing Logo and not text option- i don't see the H1 in the code at all.

It seems to me that it will be more correct if the title of the specific page/post will be the H1 and not the title of the site.

Am i right?

You do have an H1 title. Do 'view source' and search 'h1'. It is wrapped around the logo (within the logo div) and it is "Slot Machines Online", which looks to be taken from your chosen site title plus within the same logo div is an h2 which is your "site description".

So it appears to me you have the same h1 on every page (and just one of them per page) with an h2 that is also the same below it in the logo div too but you also have your other h2s. I looked at your /online-slots-for-real-money page, which has exact same set up.

On a site of mine I have this happening for the home page only with the h1 around the logo (but no h2 site description) but all other internal pages in my case are as you might expect. Apparently there is no seo issue with this set up, but in your case it is repeating on every page, which can not be right in terms of seo. Maybe other people have encountered this type of thing in a theme and know how to change it?

I use the same h1 site-wide as a text.
Then use one unique text h2 on every page, unique for every single page.
Then h3 tags for in-page sub-titles.
That's all! Search engines are so sophisticated now, they know what kind of content you have on every page.
Please do not forget to add unique meta title and meta description.
Google takes attention to the duplicate meta tags or lack of such meta tags.

Where do you see it? I think I had it before, but today i changed a bit the Header file for the logo to appear and now i can't find it, not even within the logo div.

I assume the search engines are smarter these days, but I thought it still makes sense to have unique H1 for each page.

One last thing: have this errors appear in Gwebmasters
Missing: author
Missing: entry-title
Missing: updated

I think they related to google authorship change few months ago - tried to get rid of those but somehow they still appear.

Just go to your homepage logged out of wordpress and view the source. It is still there (and on every page I believe):

always use specific H1 for each site on your page. H1 is still an important ranking factor and I would suggest to put some time in it. H1 should be always the page title and not the website title and should include the most relevant keyword for this specific page. Try also not to use more than one H1 for a site but there is nothing wrong to use more H2 headlines. Only make sure to use the most relevant keywords in it.
