Today I received a pm from Leopold asking me how Lisa was doing, and encouraging me to reply here and share with others.

I'm very happy to be able to say that Lisa's recovery has been nothing less than miraculous.

For a while there were restrictions on what she could eat. For example, she had to grind up meat so she would not choke on it, and she had to avoid many foods like bread, and vegetables that were stringy (like broccoli stems and asparagus), and food with seeds and popcorn.

And she had to be with someone when walking outdoors, had to be very careful when taking a shower, and could not drive herself.

But not anymore. She can eat anything now, and there are no longer special restrictions on what she can and cannot do. And she has been cleared to drive again.

Life is so fragile. And It is absolutely wonderful when modern medicine and a healthy dose of good fortune come together like this.
