About LinkBacksThe new movie, Money Never Sleeps that is set to come out this summer, just premiered in Cannes this morning. A review article in Vanity Fair was written about it and in the article it says, "...banks have become glorified casinos."
That statement made me want to go straight to the source and ask the people who are closely associated with the world of online gaming....Do you think that is the general consensus of banks? And if so, why?

Yes. - Hi. New here but - looking at the statement - I think, in a way, yes, banks have always been like glorified gamblers but at least held to a tighter set of rules and regulations than the casinos.
Also . . a different set of dynamics in terms of clientele . . .dealing with the average mortgage as the holder of the persons livelyhood (their home) and, at a contractual leve,l accountable for hundreds of thousands at a time just for one customer as opposed to just a few bucks if anything goes wrong
