Google are very innovative and come up with some amazing things on their homepage. This birthday wheel was cool with some fun games to play. That being said did not spend too much time playing them.

Did you know, that the true reason for the simplicity of Google's website is, that the founders did not had enough HTML programming knowledge to make it more complex?

The same with the footer of Google's website. After experiments with tests persons it came out, that most only stared at the website on their monitors without entering any search terms. When asked for the reason, the test persons said, that the website looks like, that it is not loaded completely. So the test persons waited for, that the page loading process is completed ... and waited ... and waited ...

Google as a consequence added the footer, so that everyone could see, the page is already loaded.
