Hosting for gambling website

hey eenzoo,
I have seen those guys before and the service looks very convincing. Keen to try them on my next site.
What's your experience with them? Is their support responsive and competent?

I wonder if you can switch existing DigitalOcean droplets to be managed by them... do you know perhaps?

I´ve moved a lot to them. An awesome interface to manage your "servers", apps etc. A pretty responsive support. I didn´t need them right now because i had never a technical problem but they are happy to help with some quick htaccess edits to increase page speed or stuff like that.

You can up/downgrade the drops easily and the immigration with there own plugin works like a charm. Regarding your special request, i would ask the support directly.

Regarding Siteground ,as I wanted to use them for my wordpress site,when I contacted them last week they advised they do not allow gambling content sites . I've read a few of you guys use them what's the deal do they allow or not?

Affiliate sites don't ever have to worry about any legality. It's the operators who have.

Also unless, you are getting 1000 organic visits (by organic, i mean organic); worrying about CPU resources or bandwidth is meaningless.

Any web host with half decent server can do the job.

Ranking is the only thing affiliates with under 500 organic visits a day should be focusing their energies into.

i use godaddy for a bunch of wordpress sites. sometimes a site can get on a slow server but you can request to have it moved to a different server if that happens. they also give you the option to host in north america or on eurrope. maybe not the best host but im pretty happy with them overall

Like all other cheap hosting, GD also oversell (too many sites on 1 server).

While on the topic of hosting, stay away from Media Temple.

Bought a site and a couple of domains from a member here, and had to deal with this hosting company. Incompetent doesn't even come close. The tickets I submitted for help, all went unanswered for literally weeks. Then they were closed, with no response.

Their managed Wordpress hosting is world class.

Rackspace/Google Cloud would charge thousands of dollars per month for providing the same level of network stability that Godaddy is doing for a few bucks a month.

Not even a single 500 internal error was found on 20,000 to 50,000 concurrent connections during a recent test. The only other comparable host was Amazon.

Either Godaddy is stupid, or they have a hidden plan.

The only bad characteristic about Godaddy is their customer service; it's non-existent.

Which is why, they will never lead the market.

Yes, Go Daddy is gambling friendly and quite ok, but it is really too slow and its customer service is one of the worst ones I had to deal with, it takes them far too long to answer and when they do their answer is not always right or effective, really not professional. Go Daddy is perhaps ok for private websites, small business websites or family websites, but certainly not for gambling websites.

Whatever hosting provider you choose, my advice is to go for cloud hosting. I have been a customer of DigitalOcean for years. You can choose the region for your server: London, Amsterdam, Toronto, New York, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Singapore, Bangalore. For 1 GB ram $5/monthly, 2GB RAM $10 monthly. You can keep your site on multiple servers in multiple locations (with additional costs). If you can download your site from your current host why not upload the site on DigitalOcean server, where you can set it up from the background. Yes, you have to know how to run Linux commands to set it up correctly, but they have a rich documentation as well.

Also who do you "peer" thru, who are your upstream providers etc., etc?

Just spoke to SiteGround, they DO NOT offer gambling-related content and they told me if they find any on their servers, they will shut your account.

I don't know who you talked to but we have confirmed this topic multiple times with them - both their sales support and affiliate team.
Any time we have talked to them it was confirmed that gambling affiliate content sites are fine. I wish I had saved a screenshot of the chat to prove it.
Obviously, they don't allow gambling sites - where real money gambling activity is involved and there is a licensing requirement.

Exactly. there is big difference between gambling content to actual casino. The second one they might not allow.
