How did 2012 revenue compare with 2011 revenue for you?

Now that 2012 has drawn to a close it is time to do an annual poll to ask howthe affiliate revenue you earned in 2012 compared to what you earned in 2011.

How did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And posts about your thoughts for the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds are welcome. Do you think the changes between the two years is due to general business changes, to changes you have made to your sites, to a change in your level of effort, or something else?

2012 was an awesome year and especially the 2nd halfe. Revenue increased for several years in a moderate way, but in 2012 the increase was massive. Since the prospects for my niche (mobile) are great, I expect 2013 to be even better (fingers crossed)

From an operator standpoint, I saw many of our affiliates earning a lot more on our new affiliate program than in previous years.

A lot of our affiliates more than doubled their earnings in 2012 and it was primarily because of the 50% revenue share, but we improved many facets of our program.

Revenue shrank but I procrastinated work on promoting my casino portals.

2012 wasn't a brilliant year, especially after google's penguin and panda updates. Relying too much on google while promoting a small number of affiliate programs probably wasn't the best plan. But I'm looking forward to 2013 as I intend to promote more affiliate programs and test other sources of traffic.

For me 2012 was very good year. Revenue grew more than 150%.

Just doing some preliminary tax preparation and it looks like I'm down about 10%. Sounds strange but I'm happy with that. I have done minimal work on my sites for about 18 months. I thought it was more important to persue other sources of income so if the gambling affy world crashes I'll be ok.

I'm giving credit for my increased revenue to Google and their 2012 updates. I'm expecting more of the same from Google, and any update which gives more weight to quality as opposed to artificial things (backlinks and the like) should go in my favor. I'm also developing an Android app so I'll have an extra source of income, so...it should be a good year. Although you never know.
