How did Sky Bets £10 free no deposit help with your conversisions?

Sky Bet did an amazing offer many months ago giving punters £10 free to bet on sports with no deposit required. Surely 9/10 people clicking on your affiliate urls probably signed up for this offer, especially if they were in the UK. Was this offer as good for affiliates as it was for punters? SkyBet do a great job at retaining bettors, always sending me free bets, so how has it worked for you?

It was a very good offer indeed, but probably not very good business wise as they changed it a few times since. Even today they have a new offer which seems to be the way most are going of bet £5 get £20 free.

I find these type of offers result in high registrations but not to good at converting to money customers.
Incidentally, Sky Vegas still do £10 free and Sky Casino do £20 free, no deposit.

I haven't found Sky Bet to be a particularly good one for me, especially the no deposit offers. I got a stack of signups at one point with them on the no deposit offers and very few of them converted unfortunately.

The thing with no deposit offers is that you tell the customer no deposit is required, they signup with that intention, and they never actually make a deposit. If customers are not depositing it's a waste of time.

We've found that advertising no deposit offers are a quick way to self-select to the bottom of the betting customer pool.

Matched deposits, or a bet x get 2x promotion is a far better way to find players with some money.
