Question How often do you eat seafood?

This week I'm attending the SBC Summit in Lisbon. That means eating out for dinner every night. And so far I have eaten seafood each of the three night's I've been out to dinner. I happen to love seafood, so it's been a real treat for me.

Two of the three nights I've had dinner at the restaurant O Arrastão in Alcochete, which I highly recommend. Below is a picture of the selection of the fish we chose from for one of our meals.

In addition to voting in this week's poll, I invite you to share your favorite seafood and your thoughts about seafood in general.

Personally, one of my favorite fish is salmon. When I was young, my father would take me out on a charter boat each year off of the coast of Washington to go salmon fishing. Something I enjoyed very much at the time, and that I remember each time I have salmon.

    Once a week on average.

In winter - something like "fish pie", which will be a chunky white fish cooked in big a casserole with cream and vegetables and a potato top.
In summer - it's likely to be a grilled piece of fish and into a fresh bun or bread with a squirt of tartare sauce.

And of course a staple takeaway treat (take out) in New Zealand is the local Fish and Chip shop, battered deep fried fish and chips and maybe an oyster too. That seems to work summer or winter !!

I eat a seafood dinner once a week on average, either smoked haddock, sea bass or salmon usually. Generally it's a simple dish with a honey/sweet chilli sauce or similar but I enjoy the change from meat.

I also have prawns or smoked mackerel for lunch probably twice a week with a salad.

In a restaurant recently I friend of mine suggested oysters with tequila rather than tabasco sauce - that was a game changer!

Once or twice a week. It's usually a prawn or fish based meal early in the week, and then there might be a cheeky fish and chips on the weekend. I'd eat fish more often, but the variety in Ireland isn't that inspiring.

I've been on a seafood diet for a while, I see food and I eat it - that is an old terrible joke.

On average probably 2-3x per week and 2-3x veggie. I've cut back on most is eating meat, especially red meat and as a result I now eat more fish and seafood

When it comes to seafood, my favorite is always shellfish. Steamers for clams, oysters, now I will try adding tequila that sounds good, and my all time favorite the lobster roll. Just enough mayo to hold it together and nothing else.

I usually eat seafood at least once a week. I like it, it’s low in calories (depending on how it’s prepared) and serves as a lighter alternative compared to red meat.

In Thailand easy 4 times a week, way more then in Italy. Fresh fish comes 50/70% cheaper in TH than some reasonable beef.
The Tuscany coast (west of IT) is seafood wise more or less a graveyard or you have to spend ton of money.

Picture 1/2 means the polpo. you cook those guys for 1,5hours and combine them with potato, olive oil, lemon juice, parsley. Its gorgeous. Picture #2 is out of our restaurant

Picture 3/4 was a typical home-cooked meal. Grouper, Snapper, Prawns, Crabs ...

I eat seafood 2 or 3 times a month, and I especially like eating large, peeled prawns. Salmon and Barramundi is also delicious and very healthy, with a mix of salad and special fish sauce that tastes like mayonnaise. I also like eating red crab sticks.

I try to keep a balanced diet, so seafood shows up on my table about once or twice a week. I enjoy salmon and shrimp the most – they’re not only tasty but also packed with protein and omega-3s, which keep me energized for long writing sessions.

Do you really notice a difference? Theoretically, I know it should help, but I haven't felt any difference, and lately I've been feeling more tired and distracted when writing. I'd be happy to hear any other suggestions you might have.

Few times a month. Honestly, as long as it's battered and deep-fried, I'm happy.

Can't beat a good fish and chips.

At least twice a week however in Lisbon I had the pleasure of having some seafood almost every day. Thoroughly enjoyed the octopus.
