Google announced today that Search Console will begin providing generative AI performance reports, giving website owners additional visibility into how their content is appearing in Google's AI-powered search experiences.
Read the announcement in the Google Search Central Blog: Introducing Search Generative AI performance reports in Search Console.
According to Google, "We are rolling these reports out to a subset of websites, allowing us to thoroughly test them and receive feedback before making them widely available."
The new reports have not yet become available for any of the sites I checked, but I'll be keeping an eye out for them. Since the rollout will be gradual, I'd appreciate it if members would post an update in this thread when the new reports become available for their sites.
The announcement also got me thinking about how frequently affiliates use Search Console in general. While many people use it to monitor clicks, impressions, and search performance, I often find myself relying on the indexing reports to identify pages that aren't being indexed and other issues that need attention.
How often do you review Google Search Console data for your websites?
In addition to voting in the poll, please share how you use Search Console, which reports you find most valuable, and when the new generative AI performance reports become available for your sites.
Michael
