How often you check your affiliate stats?

1) Until a significant number of programs offer stats in XML, or via an API, I'm not interested. I would love it if a lot of programs did this, so I could write my own program to get my own stats, compiled the way that I want, and then stored in my own database.

2) If stats are not seeming to be updated for a week, or I cannot log in for a week, that's when I contact the AM.

I check my stats a couple times a day depending on the the hits I recieve.

Ihave statsremote on almost all the time, it automatically logs into all your affiliate accounts and gives you a customisable overview (looks like a spreadsheet) showing the key figures you are interested in.

One feature we really like about it is that it also shows you daily average's so far in the month and then predicts what you will have done by the end of the month if things continue as they are doing. Thus by mid way through a month we have a good idea how we are likly to do with any given program and in total.

I tend to look at it throughout the day and keep an eye out for any big moves that I may need to act on.

Two spinoff questions:

1) How valuable are tools that allow you to get stats without logging in?
We offer tools like XML, API or email stats with our software but it seems like VERY FEW affiliates use them.

2) If stats were not updated for one of your programs, how quickly would you become concerned and write to your aff manager?

2 days
1 week
etc...

Like Robert said from an affiliates view point we need all the programs we promote to give us those options for there to be any point in us using them. The reason I like statsremote is because it means I do not have to login to all of our accounts I just turn it on a view the data that I need. Otherwise I would spend a lot of time just logging into various accounts where with statsremote I make direct comparisons between onoe program and another and estabnlish with ease which is converting best etc.

Regarding how long I wait before contacting my aff manager it really depends on the programs past performance and how much traffic we are sending them.

Apart from anything else, I don't have time to check my stats every day - it takes blinking hours!

I check mine just once per month, between the 1st to the 4th to get my stats & income from the previous month.

As an affiliate, I have to admit to being pretty slack and checking only a couple of times a month - especially those programs I expect movement from.

As an affiliate manager, I check twice a day

I check twice a month, once in the first few days to see what was earned the previous month and normally again mid-month to see how things are going.

If I'm running a special promotion or spending cash advertising certain sites then I'll check them between every day and once a week - depending on what I'm doing. On the whole though, most programs get checked bi-monthly.

On average I would say that I check affiliate stats about once a month. I always check all programs in the first week of the month to monitor the last months development in keystats like signups, conversion rates etc.

I have the same. I have a few I check daily and other once a week or less. I mostly double check after making changes to the site or when posting certain articles to judge the feedback.
