    I just want to know nowadays HTTPS mandatory for a website or not ?

    Pretty sure you just want to have a few spammy links ... but no - it's not mandatory at all.
    It is recommended if you are collecting data via a form - otherwise purely optional.

    nothing speaks against SSL,because u can get it very cheap or for free.
    And u can make nothing wrong...

    It is not mandatory at all. However it is highly recommended to migrate to HTTPS, because it is a ranking signal. You can get a free SSL certificate with Let's Encrypt.

    I think the problem arose with Chrome 56, that started displaying "PAGE NOT SECURE" left and right even to website that had no logical reason to use a SSL. Thing is most hosting companies and packages offer one for free these days. Takes no more than 2 minutes to set up if your cPanel has the SSL/TLS option.

    It looks as if Google is forcing it onto us. Those warning must put off some surfers, especially in view of the bad press that some of the less reputable casinos seem to get. The warning seems to become more severe if you have a login page for surfers to leave comments.
