You know, the more I think about it - the fact of the matter is - I was the one being bullied.

And this thread was as much a poke at me as anyone so it doesn't qualify as bullying in the least.

The post I made was a "fun poke" at Terry. I know how much passion he has, and i consider him one of my best "affiliate friends"

I have had the great opportunity to spend time with Terry's family, i met his family last year, i met him and them in Niagra falls.

We all played poker together, and much of our poker banter talk was bullying one another, making jokes...

When i made this post my goal was to get Terry laughing. Were good enough friends that he would find it funny, and possible lighten up the mood.

Yes in fact i was Bullying Terry!!! Like I bully him at the poker table!!! LOL

Lets all lighten up and be happy!!!

After all were equals!! No one is on a high horse here are they?

    Love to all!

I am sure it was with good intentions

I guess the issue is the other guy is bearing the brunt

Just feel its a little harsh on the 3rd party

I can understand your point of view... Thanks for sharing it.

If you read the way it started.. Terry was reminding a new member here that he was not appreciative of the "Spam Pm" he was getting.

As it turns out the 3rd party in question jumped in and baited Terry.

Look at it in this perspective.

Terry a long term member here who contributes whole heartedly with real ethics and passion gets a PM he does not like, and reminds the poster of the Pm to stop.

The 3rd party (new public) sees an in (baiting time) and questions Terry like he has no right to suggest to the Poster of the Pm he may be banned.

it was obvious the 3rd party in question had old wounds from a previous episode, and wanted to continue it. When clearly he had no issue with getting involved that situation in the first place.

So that led to where we are now.. All kind of silly I know...

Classifying it as bullying doesn't seem to fit as this 3rd party was the one baiting the attack...

Of course calling this thread as antagonistic may be not out of line.. i would rather call it a "friendly jab" at the two parties involved.

I would normally not go into detail on my thoughts, as its between them two, but since my actions seem to be called in question I wanted to give you an idea of where I am coming from M8.

Sometimes its best to "provide comedy" with certain situations without reading into the intentions of them..

Let these two men work it out on their own..

If i offended you Paul and you found it in bad taste my deepest apologies to you for getting you upset.

Steve, the other party was in the title too!

Look from his point of view too, just feel sorry for him tbh

You have not offended me, neither has terry

Just feel that the 3rd party would not see it in the same light thats all

Lets all get on and have fun together

    Fair enough..

I also have seen these "olive branches" which you explained. As i do not know him i cant be for certain these were of good intentions.. but i see your point.

So as a member here who cares i think I will PM him and try and get to know him and suggest a few pointers..

Things that helped me when i first started here.

Kind of like - give him the benefit of the doubt...

I would like to see him get involved and provide some good knowledge with his 12 years of experience..

    Hopefully it all works out....

Kind of reminds me of Green Earth Poker. The way you feel him is how i felt about GreenEarthPoker when he came on board.

Anyways yup yup!!! Lets all have some fun...

Anyone want a heads up match playing Omaha, Razz, Holdem, Horse i will take you all on..... i show no mercy. _ LOL

I know Steve, i had no issue with Ian the green poker guy either tbh

I simply agreed that shaun was within his rights to complain.

Just seemed that there was slack cut there and none here if the truth be known which i find unusual to say the least.

Be nice if Terry could cut a little slack and see if the op will back off too we have no need for bickering and fighting here really.

Issues with both, however, i dont feel that either of the 2 are behond salvation.

These two issues are not the same and can't possibly be compared.

The Green Earth Poker guy was doing nothing different than several other non-sponsoring affiliate programs. Sure, a pm to Michael or Steven would have been the politically correct move. Plus. the guy quickly apologized and edited his OP as soon as Shaun went after him. Right or wrong, he bowed to Shaun's wishes - end of story.

The issue between arisoftnet and I is completely different. Everything I originally accused him of was verifiable and posted in private first for reaction from mods and other members.

The thread where I posted the "buyer beware" warning degenerated into a mess and is now closed. Read Stevens comments in the last post!

After the thread above was closed I did cut him some slack. I purposely avoided his posts in an effort to keep the peace even when he made comments that referred to me by name.

But, arisoftnet came after me last night. He was obviously trying to start a fight. I warned him more than once to back off... the rest is history.

So no more slack from me for arisoftnet. He made it personal (very personal) - his choice - now he can live with the consequences.

I thank my friends here who came to my defense last night - and those who cheered silently from the sidelines - your support and friendship means the world to me.

I will repeat my plea from a few posts up - Michael, Steven, Rick - please close the public forums to link exchanges. The current policy is seriously hurting the quality of GPWA.

Hey pokerkeep don’t sweat it these people blow in with the wind.

Long time veteran and renowned Webmaster ThePokerKeep squares off with a "bad boy" newcomer Arisoftnet in what appears to be a "Spam" clash of the century.
I thought it was very funny! The odds were in you favour if site reputation was the governing factor. Plus your character speaks for itself you’re a good man Terry. And perhaps Arisoftnet would give anyone the attitude even the long passed Mother Teresa.

Arisofksksks Top Casinos - Trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy and child safety of this site is very poor.

Pokerkeepskjsls the pokerkeep - Trustworthiness of this site is good.

He made it personal (very personal) - his choice
    Indeed he did Terry.

I whole heartily agree the link exchanges should not be in the public forums. It just may keep the sharks out.

Hey Terry, you know if it came down to the wire i would protect your back and support you all the way.

I respect you massively, have all the time in the world for you and would trust you with my children!

Irrelevant of other issues previously, i just feel that although Steve was a little mischievous with this thread, it has actually developed in to bad taste.

Just when you and Arisoftnet had finished rowing, the pressure was off him and he was trying to fit in, it brings it all to the front again!

You know what i cant beleve how you are not seeing things ??? On the first Thread that all these started about me saying that am offering quality Banners placement THEPOKERKEEP insulted me directly calling me a BAD webmaster and reffered to m y websites as BAD neighbourhood , with out previously PM me or with out ANY previous notice , he attacked me first directly with out even knowing me , then he called me a scammer and a crook ,, a thief ... how could you all possibly all of you ignore these ???

An as an honest guy and been in this bussiness for looong time i got offended and i will NEVER stop claiming my inoccence! I admit that the last fight started from me Interfering in one of THEPOKERKEEP's post and that is why I WILL NEVER EVER EVER ACCEPT THE FACT THAT IN THE AIR THERE IS A LIE where THEPOKERKEEP CREATED intentionally giving to me a bad reputation and into my websites!

Until THEPOKERKEEP RECALLS i will be here for ever!!! Claiming what is right as i will never accept from a rookie go up in public and start ACCUSING EVERYONE with out thinking the Consciousness !

In my Country am a main contributor of many Charity organisations and i will never accept from a disturbed mind that most probably gets motivated by the jellous of the age he is that he will never be a succesfull Webmaster!

Well i am confident this issue will slowly resolve itself, as many other threads have in the past. Although maybe never forgotten business moves on and we still need to work on our businesses and improve ourselves.

One thing for sure - and nothing to do with the situation between the two guys, is Terry has made a good point regarding the Public posting of links and exchanges.

Many new members will post 1 or 2 posts and then start the spam. Just ask Rick, it seems daily he is removing them all the time.

I certainly appreciate all the time and effort Rick puts into this and makes this board clean, but i am sure its time consuming and causes him grief.

Lets try and not think "bad taste" or "mischevious" and speculate on each others motives all the time. As i said we are all equals.

Make something positive come out of this by possibly improving the system here, rather than worry what each others motives are. That seems more productive don't you think?

We can always focus on the negative things but lets challenge each other to make this place better for all of us.

Then you wont feel all the time this "bad taste" feeling.

    Cheers

    Steve

    A risoftnet,

Consider I am roughly the same age and been webmastering in this industry for the same amount of time. Suppose I am rookie as well and should kneel before grand masters seniors while throwing equality in the dumpster. My age? Guess you’re right much to old to be successful. Time too retire and go fishing before my Parkinson sets in. Us older fellows are way to jealous, the years have taught us nothing. Maybe us older “jealous” folks have one up one you called wisdom. Something you will not receive until you arrive there. And of course you wallet can’t pay for it.

How in the world could a “disturbed” “jellous” “rookie” possible give you a bad name? You are the kings of kings.

Donating to charity certainly a noble cause but with prejudices you obviously hold questions your nobility. Candle loses nothing by lighting another yours certainly would. And if you don’t understand statement it only means you lack the wisdom to under it.

    OK

First let me say that I was out most of the day yesterday and last evening, and sorry I couldn't be handy the whole time these threads were exploding.

I have not yet read Stevens post in the closed thread although he did drop me a pm that he responded and was glad I closed that thread.

Before I continue I will state for EVERYONE'S benefit.

When we close threads because they get out of hand (it is usually because they will reach a poiunt that personal attacks start, as was the case here) it is usually WRONG to start another thread just to continue that same war.

Now I do not know what all has transpired last night and this morning, so please bear with me a bit to catch up.

Sometimes we all have to be reminded that many of usd are very passionate about our businesses and will often speak out very quickly to defend what we do...even if we are ourselves misguided. (nothing meant by this it's just a fact)

I myself have a few times over the years defended a position which I later determined maybe wasn't such a good spot to be in, but I may have never seen where I had been wrong had the threads been full of personal attacks.

We need to stopp ALL personal attacks....on BOIH sides.

arisoftnet, I know you feel that you were personally attacked, and Terry did in fact try and explain why he questioned your methods and was (originally at least) trying to do so in a manner to get some clarification.

You went on the defensive (somewhat normal) but your responses back were very abusive personally.

What ensued from there seemed to go down hill fast, and I probably should have closed the original thread sooner.

To continue to call Terry a rookie is just plain silly at this point, geez the number of posts here alone should show you that he has indeed been a very active member of this community, and if you go back to my very first contact with you, (I think it was in pm) I encouraged you a number of times to become more active in the forum OTHER THAN LINK EXCHANGES!

And as far as link exchanges being in the public forums, I have stated before this will hopefully be discussed soon and a solution should be forthcoming.

Yes, lately I have been spending more time cleaning up the link spam in unrelated threads, but that is in part to the recent influx of new public members we have had and also because we need to make a few changes concerning those posts.

Now please understand, I feel there have been a number of mistakes in the threads being discussed, and this thread is NOT here to continue the war.

I know a few will now think they must post in this thread in defense, but I caution everyone, I will close this one immediately today if needed.

arisoftnet, a few members have posted in your defense and feel the whole picture needs to be re-examined, and I promise that I will do that, so please do not continue this he said/he said stuff in this thread also.

What are we going to do now? Take the back stabbing approach, rally up members and tell lies. Oh I been on this end of **** stick several times. I suppose people have to do what they know best right or wrong don't matter. Behind the scenes sucker punches by cowardly characters who simple try and justify themselves by making others appear bad.

Maybe I am sticking up for Terry as he would not like if at all. But much better than the nill support he received.
